My Experience with Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Gradation Pink 1:
The Maybelline lip gradation lip colours are available in 8 shades and these 8 shades left me in confusion because all of them looked equally beautiful. But I finally made my mind and picked 4 out of these followed by this on because I loved how they worked for me.
Packaging: The Maybelline Lip Gradation comes in a long and sleek packaging with the lip colour rising from top and the smudger at the bottom. It has the name written over it in glossy silver fonts and the shade name label is stuck at the bottom of the smudger. The crayons are colour coded which makes it easier than ever to spot the one I want to use. The twisty thing at the bottom works perfectly and the cap stays tight, so no need to worry about the lip colour chipping. They are priced at 500 which initially I thought was high but then after I tried it, I thought anyone would be ready to spend that much for a super matte lip colour which stays more than the lip crayons of any other brand.
Shade: There were 8 shades and I got to know that a lot of people were complaining that the shades weren’t unique. But I guess, the shades are perfect because as we all know Maybelline caters to mass, mostly to the younger generation and these are the regular shades that the girls use. So I am pretty much happy with all the 8 shades. The shade “Pink 1” is a very pretty poppy pink shade with subtle neon hints. I am glad I got this because it is a perfect shade for summers. It instantly brightens up my face and it is a great option to go for when I am not in the mood to do the make-up as it creates a brilliant pop on my lips. It will compliment the fair/medium skin-tone beautifully but will look too neon on skin with yellow undertones. But overall, a lovely pink to compliment every outfit & style.
Pigmentation, Consistency and Finish: The consistency is extremely creamy and feels more like a mousse rather than cream. It glides on super smoothly on my lips covering my lips in the beautiful poppy pink colour in just one go. The pigmentation is very intense and is great enough to cover the pigmented lips too. The consistency is definitely soft, so I would advise not to apply pressure while using this. The finish is super matte which looks extremely stunning on the lips. It is matte but not drying at all. But I don’t know why does neon colours turn out to look a bit patchy on the lips. It gets a bit patchy and will highlight the chapped portions since the colour is bold and neon-ish. Hence, it is important to prep up the lips a little before you use this particular shade.
Smudging: I don’t know why they created this concept because a very few woman would like to carry ombre lips. And the thing that they tried to create did not impress me! The smudger is soft and great for smudging but the lip colour smudges all unevenly creating spaces on the lips. Also, it totally clings to dry patches after smudging, so this is a big no-no, rather it works amazingly as a plain lip colour.
Staying Power: The staying power is incredible! It stays for more than 4-5 hours on my lips with water, snacks and meals too. It stays a bit more if I do not consume any food. The moment I eat, this particular shade gets a bit messy and patchy. Even though the colour goes off after 6-7 hours, it leaves a pink stain which does not let my lips look dull at any point. The lip colour easily comes off with a makeup remover/cleansing milk.
Overall, amazingly lip colours, they are a must try!

• The packaging is sleek and long which makes it easy to fit them in vanity, clutch or a hand-bag.
• Available in 8 shades and all are equally beautiful.
• The consistency is super creamy and glides like butter on a hot toast.
• The pigmentation is super intense as all the colour appears in one swipe.
• Will cover pigmented lips completely.
• The shade “Pink 1” is a pretty poppy and a vibrant pink shade which gives you a very girly pout.
• One of the best shades for upcoming summer.
• It raises that hotness quotient and makes you look super sexy the moment you apply it.
• It instantly perks up my face.
• It stays on my lips for 4-5 hours with meals, snacks and water.
• The finish is perfectly matte which looks gorgeous.
Cons of Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Gradation Pink 1:
• The smudger doesn’t work well’ it creates a very tacky look and it looks like half of my lip colour has come off after eating.
• The shade has neon hints so won’t suit all the skin-tones; it won’t compliment skin with yellow undertones.
• The shade is very bold so gets a bit patchy after some-time.
• Tests on animals.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Gradation Pink 1?
Yes, Maybelline creates the perfect pinks and this one is definitely an addition to the list! I really liked this pink too but I liked pink 2 even more. So pick the shades you love as the range has some of the best and basic shades.
Conclusion:
Apart from the gradation effect, these work brilliantly and I am using this every time I step out of the house.
