My Experience with Maybelline Colorshow Madly Magenta Creamy Matte Lipcolor:

The lipstick comes in a classy matte black plastic tube. The squarish tube had a color-coded band at the neck for easier identification of the shade from stash. The cap shuts with a click sound. Overall, the packaging is sleek, classy and travel-friendly. I always run after matte lippies. I was super excited to find out that Maybelline has launched matte lipsticks in their Color Show range. ‘Madly Magenta’ is a gorgeous plum shade with very fine shimmers which are not over-powering. The shimmers are subtle and just add a gorgeous sheen to the lips.

The shade has purplish hues and it looks absolutely stunning. It instantly brightens up the face. This shade will go with most of the Indian skin tones. It has a sweet fragrance, which stays for shorter period of time. The formula of the lip color is creamy. It glides on the lips effortlessly. There is no tugging or pulling of the lips. But you need to prep your lips properly because the lipstick clings to dry patches of the lips. The formula is actually moisturizing. The lipstick transfers to cutlery, may be due to its creamy texture.

Though the lipstick has shimmers, it does not feel gritty at all. The lipstick feels so light and comfortable on the lips. The pigmentation of the lipstick is to die for. It gives pretty matte finish to the lips. It does not bleed at all. One swipe gives complete opaque coverage. You do not need to layer it up. The staying power of the lipstick is 5-6 hours. After that, it starts to fade away evenly, leaving a slight stain on the lips. Overall, the shade is awesome with such a light formula. The lipstick is a great buy.
