Maybelline Crushed Emerald Colossal Kohl Review

I was so surprised to find out that our favourite Maybelline Colossal has three new shades and yet I knew nothing about them. I recently went to a local drugstore and found it in 3 colors in shades like emerald green, jade blue and a silver! Read on to find out more.

My take on Maybelline Crushed Emerald The Colossal Kohl:

As a Bengali, I have always been complimented about my eyes and I take a lot of pride in that. Hence I always do bold eye makeup while going out. Usually, I prefer black for that but lately I have been searching for different color that will stay put. I already have a blue from NYX and turquoise one from the colossal range. I wanted a forest green kind of color for so long and I think I have found a very good budget option.

Packaging: It is the usual yellow pencil with a green strip to identify the tube, which frankly is not very helpful, when you are in a hurry. There s no outer cardboard though which is odd.

Texture: The pencil has a very smooth texture and doesn’t tug at all. It glides on smoothly and gives a precise line.

Shade: It is a beautiful forest green color with shimmer. It instantly brightens your look. It will look super funky on college girls who are bored of wearing black kohl. I usually wear spectacles and this color pops out my eyes.

Staying power: The staying power is really good. It is smudge-proof and water-proof. I rubbed it pretty hard but t didn’t come off. You would definitely need an eye makeup remover to get rid of this.

Overall, I am happy I picked this up because I was looking for this color for so long and was really disappointed with Lakme since their blue, green and grey all looked similar.
