Hope you are having a wonderful day! Today, I am reviewing an eyeshadow quad from Maybelline’s Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow range. The quad is called Coral Oasis.

For Best Results:
Subtle chic look:

Illuminate – Sweep lightest shade all over eye using wider side of applicator, from lash line to brow bone.
Blend – Apply second shade across full lid; using tapered end of brush, add shade to lower lash line for depth.
Emphasize – Sweep third shade from inner corner to middle of lid.
Contour – Line darkest shade on upper lash line with tapered end of brush for added intensity.

High impact look:

Illuminate – Sweep lightest shade all over eye using wider side of applicator, from lash line to brow bone.
Emphasize – Blend second shade from inner corner to middle of lid.
Intensify – Apply third shade from outer corner to middle of lid; line upper and lower lash for extra pop.
Deepen – Add darkest shade in crease and line upper and lower lash line for more impact.

My Experience with Maybelline Eye Studio Coral Oasis Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow:

Packaging:  The eyeshadow quad comes in a compact black rectangular four pan palette with a transparent lid which closes securely. It is quite travel friendly and the transparent lid makes it easier to see the colors in the palette without having to look at the name or open the lid. It is small enough to carry in your handbag, if needed. There is no mirror available in this quad.  The palette comes with a sponge tip applicator which is slightly skinnier than usual. It makes it more difficult to use this applicator for all-over-lid shadow application, but it works well to apply eye shadow as a liner, be it the lower lash line or even if you want a soft liner look to define your upper lash line.

Colors:

Shade 1 is a champagne shade with a peach undertone.
Shade 2 is a greenish gold.
Shade 3 is a coral orange.
Shade 4 is a dark mahogany brown.

Finish:  All the shadows in this quad have a shimmer finish. Shade 1 tends to look frosty unless used with a light hand. If you do not like shimmer, you should skip this quad as all shades are highly shimmery.

Texture:  All the shades have a very soft and creamy texture. The eye shadows blend easily and there is no patchiness. Since they are so soft, they do cause some fallout. So be sure to tap the excess off your brush before you apply.

Pigmentation and Longevity: All the shadows in this palette are intensely pigmented. One swipe is enough to get the exact shade as in the pan. These eye shadows are quite long lasting. They last on my oily eyelids through the day for over 8 hours with a primer. There is no fading or creasing.
