I had been searching for a new brow pencil for a few days. Recently, I found this Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo Shaper at my nearest makeup showroom. This is a new launch in India, and I got it though I was totally unaware of its performance. This one looked so interesting and the claims tempted me a lot. Let’s see if it is worth it!
Fashion Brow Pencil is an all-in-one pen for your eyebrow that gives you the sharpness of a 0.2mm micro lead fixing pencil and the softness of filling natural mineral powder. It is the ultimate duo shaper that gives you ultra-soft precision for perfectly defined eyebrows up to 12 hours. It fixes gaps and blends seamlessly for smooth, stunning brows.
INR 245 for 0.61g (powder side-0.5g & penside-0.11g)
My Experience with Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo Shaper Brown:
Maybelline is my all time favorite brand. They have such a lovely makeup range. I had been waiting for a brow pencil from Maybelline, and finally my wish came true. They have recently launched this Fashion Brow Shaper Pencil, but I think it is still not available everywhere. The product comes with caps that have full details about the product. If you open the brown cap, you can get the brow filler powder tip and the black cap encases the actual pencil tip. Both the caps are nice and travel friendly. The brown cap depicts the color of this pencil, so it is easy to identify if you have the other color from this range.
Both the applicators are perfect too. It has a powder applicator in one side. This applicator easily and smoothly glides on the brows. The powder applicator comes in a sponge format which also works as a smudger. The tip is really soft and smooth. It has a small point that can easily enter every single root and gap in the brows. It leaves a soft, natural finishing on the brows. It blends the powder very well. No harsh edges are noticeable after using this sponge applicator.
I like this powder applicator over the pencil one. I feel this pencil applicator is a little hard as it takes time to get blended. This is not a creamy one. Actually, the tip is really thin, so its creaminess would have broken it. You need 2-3 swipes for the perfect color with this pencil. I like to apply the pencil one first and define my brows shape with it. Then, I fill up the gaps. After that, I apply the powder applicator to smudge all the edges and make it look more natural.
It comes in two different shades. One is grey and mine one is Brown. This is not the darkest shade of brown, but it looks natural brown. It never makes me look like a joker. It leaves a soft, fluffy look to my brows. The shade matches with me nicely. You need to apply it in proper manner to get the true color. It looks light for dark brows. I have a brown brows so I am totally satisfied with it. The powder applicator adds a nice touch with this shade. I feel the powder’s shade is darker than the pencil one. It takes only one swipe for decent amount of color to show up.
Overall, my eyebrows look well groomed for a long time. Maybelline claims that it stays for 12 hours, and yes it does! In fact, had they claimed that it stays for 24 hours, it too would have been true with this one. Generally, I sweat like crazy, and still it stays on my brows for more than 12 hours perfectly. No transfer, no smudge! This has a waterproof formula also. It’s a great pick by me. 🙂
I am so happy to get it! But, less shade options in this range will make some people unhappy. This shade works great on me. This is a must-have one even because of its price. It’s only INR 245. Everyone can afford this. It has a superb staying quality and a nice color. It perfectly blends all over the brows and makes them look fully defined. The powder applicator is great to get a natural finish. Overall, I love this brow pencil.

Ahhh Your eyes!! pwetty.. 🙂 Getting this asap 🙂
Thank you Swathi 🙂 🙂
wow I love this one, but I guess I would need a shade or two darker for myself. But I will go and check it out at the store for sure. Your EOTD is lovely and so are your eyes. 🙂
Thanx. I have no idea about the grey shade. Maybe grey one is little dark than this brown 🙂
Yay for Maybelline 😀 I would have said double yay if they had introduced darker colors as well. This shade won’t work on my brows.
Yah this is the only problem with this Brow pencil 🙂
This blends in so well with your brows! Lovely smokey eyes 🙂
Thank you Mariyam. Powder blends so smoothly 🙂
Interesting new launch. I hv to get my hands on this. Gr8 EOTD
Thanks Khushi 🙂
I bought this one reading this review. Weirdly so, the pencil doesn’t swatch. Like seriously! Doesn’t show up on the brows.. not even on the hand. So I really tried going a little heavy handed and it broke. Now I wonder if it’s this particular piece or I really don’t know how to use a brow pencil.
