My take on Maybelline Fruity Jelly Lip Gloss
Treat me Sweet: A light pretty shade of pink with minute silver sparkles in it.
Mad about Melon: It is a shade of orange which also have silver sparkles in it.
I wanted to write about both these is two separate paragraphs, but they are almost similar to each other except the color that appears in the tube and so I decided to write it together. Firstly talking about the only thing that differs, its color, they both appear to be different in the tube but when applied on lips they both come as completely sheer, without any pigmentation. Both the variants have minute silver sparkles in them, but the sparkle does not show up on lips. Like many other glosses the staying power of the gloss is not so good, but I had one of the variants earlier and so I didn’t expect much with the staying power.
I was a little disappointed with my earlier buy due to lack of pigmentation, but still I brought them again, mainly due to the fact that they do the work, they are made for, perfectly. They make the lips super glossy. Their small tube makes them easy to carry, even if I have a small purse. The gloss is not at all sticky and can easily be used with or without lipstick. When these glosses were launched, they costed Rs 150, after some time the price was raised to Rs 165 and now it’s 175. Although the price has increased, but they is still affordable if compared to many other glosses available in the market.
Final verdict: I personally feel that they are good for people who do not want their glosses to be pigmented. But then why buy different flavors if they all appear same on the lips? The answer to this can be the color. I like orange and pink and that was the reason I brought these. They also have a little fruity smell, which can help you to select the flavor.
