Hello girls!
Today I’ll be reviewing a lippie from the color show range. Let’s get to the review.
Price: 299 INR for 3.9g
My experience with Maybelline Fuchsia Fantasy Colorshow Lipstick:
Packaging: It comes in a black tube, with a color coded band which is pretty good. There is nothing great about the packaging, and no ‘wow’ factor. The name of the shade is written at the bottom with a color coded sticker. The cap clicks a satisfying click and ready to be tossed into handbags.
Shade: Fuchsia fantasy is a bright berry based fuchsia pink. Although it is not a true fuchsia since it has berry tones to it. An amazing factor of this shade is that it is dual toned! It looks fab and not all garish or OTT. It does not have any shimmer to it (thank god!).
Texture and pigmentation: The texture is velvety smooth and it just glides on lips like dream. I did not need exfoliation prior to application since I currently do not deal with dry lips. But to tends to highlight dry flakes. The pigmentation is just superb! Just one swipe gives such an amazing color payoff, owing to the brightness of the shade. I hardly have to use one swipe and just dab them across both my lips and it covers them well. Beauties with pigmented lips would love this. Full marks for the pigmentation and texture.
Lasting power: The only downside of this lipstick is that it easily transfers. I hate this part of most lipsticks since I have to deal with the embarrassment when I find lipstick marks on cups. I usually try to blot this to minimize the transferring part. It survives a small meal, but re-application/touch-up is needed. It lasts for about 3 hours and evenly fades from corners. It leaves a bright pink tint that is slightly bothersome to remove. Also this is not so moisturizing and I found my lips dry at the end of the day.
Lastly, this is a very gorgeous shade that will instantly brighten up the face. This is a pretty unique color in my kitty.
