Recently I bought lipsticks just to get over my blues 😀 It sure made me feel a lot better. Well who needs therapy when you have shopping right? 😀 Let’s check out the review to know how this one fared.

My Experience with Maybelline Iced Coral 137 Color Show Lipstick:
Packaging: It comes in a black tube, with a color coded band which is pretty good. There is nothing great about the packaging, and no ‘wow’ factor. The name of the shade is written at the bottom with a color coded sticker. The cap clicks a satisfying click and ready to be tossed into handbags. Pretty boring packaging, if you ask me but very user-friendly.
Shade: Iced coral is a lovely peach with coral hints. It is not a very ‘brightening’ color but it goes with loud eye makeup well. It has loads of silver shimmer in them which does not feel gritty.
Texture and Pigmentation: The texture is like all the Colorshow lippies; smooth and creamy. It glides like there’s no tomorrow. It feels very light on lips too. However it tends to highlight the dry parts of lips and gives a patchy finish. I’ve had this problem with the pink shades of Colorshow lipsticks. This shade has sheer pigmentation and the shade itself is soft. The color pay-off is average and I guess ones with pigmented lips cannot sport this. The intensity can be built though.
Staying power: It has a faint sweet aroma which isn’t bothersome. It stayed on my lips for 3.5+ hours after which it began to fade from corners. It hardly survives meals. After it fades, the shimmers are left behind which is disturbing. But I like how the shimmers add to the sheen. Staying power could have been better but since the shade is soft I cannot expect more. Like other color show lipsticks it transfers at the slightest touch! Other than these minor issues I totally love it.

• Shimmers are a little bothersome as it gets left behind and spreads.

• Packaging is very boring.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Maybelline Iced Coral 137 Color Show Lipstick?
I don’t have many shades like these in my kitty and I love this a lot. If the low pigmentation is not a con for you, it is worth checking out.
