Maybelline Impact Express Smooth Felt Liner

Hello Beauties!
maybelline impact express felt liner
Today I am reviewing a product from Maybelline. It is Impact Express Smooth Felt Liner. I have used pencil type eyeliners from MAC, Bodyshop, Revlon and maybelline itslef. I have always loved maybellline products. I had bought some makeup from them. However, did not use it for sometime as I had other products to finish. Recently I started using this liner. Read on to see how it works!

My Experience With Maybelline Impact Express Smooth Felt Liner

These days I love my eyeliners. They open up your eyes if applied correctly. I have tried crayon, liquid liners, gel liners and I really love pen type eyeliners due to there precision. I have used Ultra liquid eyeliner from maybelline and I loved it. It was very affordable and easy to carry. The only problem was after 3-4 months I developed irritation to that liner maybe because I used it like all the time for 2 years. Anyways coming back to this pen liquid liner, it is awesome. It comes in a sketch pen shape. It has a very sleek packaging. It has a very pointed brush for the great precision. I usually apply a single stroke but if you like your liner to be thick, that put 2-3 strokes and you are done.

It is pigmented. It gives nice black color that is not very dark. Having said that, I would say it still lacks something. It is not very dark in first stroke, as some people would like it to be. One has to apply 2-3 strokes for the color itself, which is annoying. It dries up fast if kept it open for sometime but I think that is what happens to liners in such form. I do not apply this on my water line but my sister has tried this on her water line and she said it did not stay for long. SA said it was waterproof, but I do not think so. If I apply on my waterline, it runs out and makes my dark circles look worse. This is average eyeliner nothing special.

Pros of Maybelline Impact Express Smooth Felt Liner

• Easy to apply
• Great Precision
• Long lasting (if not rubbed or stayed away from water
• Versatile
• Sturdy packaging

Cons of Maybelline Impact Express Smooth Felt Liner

• Not waterproof
• Pricey
• Nice pigmentation only after 2-3 strokes.

Would I be repurchasing the Maybelline Impact Express Smooth Felt Liner?
No, I want to try new ones. Any suggestions?

Overall, this is an excellent liner for great precision. One can draw thin thick and super thick lines with this eyeliner pen. Anyone who is looking for great precision and easy application can go for this. However, keep in mind it is not waterproof. A little rub under the water and it will fade easily. In addition, pigmentation is not great. I would not recommend it.

  1. I had similar one from colorbar and it just got over..love felt tip liners..they are so easy to apply and gives full control 🙂 i don’t think this one is available here yet

  2. if you’re fond of felt tip liners.. try the l’oreal superliner in carbon black…its far superior.

also, do NOT experiment with the revlon colorstay liquid eye pen ….the pigmentation is pathetic n it goes ridiculously patchy on application…very uneven…

  3. I just can’t apply liners using these felt tip pens…and you are correct when you say these felt tip liners are not very pigmented in the first application.

  4. Maybe you could dab some eyeshadow on top of it , that could make it stay long. Just thinking. 🙂

I like to use gel liners the most. they dont budge and now sinc ei am used to of using them i find them super easy to use. 🙂 you have pretty eyes. :))

  5. Is this like the Lakme one? I have it but just cannot use it don’t know why. My hands just tremble. And since I have high power in my eyes and hate lenses, I have to peer near the mirror to line my eyelids. And somehow I can manage a decent line on the right lid, but not the left one 🙁
