I have reviewed two reds from Maybelline’s The Loaded Bolds range – Smoking Red and Dynamite Red. This is another color I was drooling upon, a berry shade with a little bit of purple and maroon to it. I am talking about the shade “Berry Bossy.” Read on for more details:

My Experience with Maybelline The Loaded Bolds by Colorsensational Lipstick Berry Bossy:
I have been looking for a dupe for Sleek Fandango Purple since ages, but unfortunately, this lipstick did not come close enough to that. Nevertheless, this lipstick is a beautiful berry plum maroon mix and it comes in a thick opaque matte feel. The color is potent and the pigmentation is awesome in one swipe.
It feels thick and matte and covers lips in one coat. In two coats, the colors become darker, so you might consider a thin finish using a lip brush, this lipstick is that potent and pigmented.
“Berry Boss” is a beautiful color and it makes my skin appear a shade lighter and my teeth look whiter. It is a blue-toned lipstick but it has enough pink for deeper skin too. All skin tones can carry this lipstick with poise.
Coming to the feel on the lips, for me, it is matte which is not too drying but if you have dry lips, this clings and and stays matte for a very long time, during which you might feel this becomes dry on the lips. This shade has a slight staining problem but it lasts for 6 hours with slight patchiness though.
I love “Berry Boss” and recommend it for its color and pigmentation, and for the fact that it is apt for many skin tones.

- Pigmented, all you need is one coat.
- Matte but not powdery dry matte for me.
- Lasts very long.
- Thick and opaque.

Cons of Maybelline The Loaded Bolds by Colorsensational Lipstick Berry Bossy:
- Might stain easily since it is so deep.
- Might feel drying and too thick in more than one coat.
- The packaging is similar for all shades.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Maybelline The Loaded Bolds by Colorsensational Lipstick Berry Bossy?
Yes for sure, and in many other shades too. The color is beautiful if you love berries and I haven’t found similar matte pigmented shades in the marker that easily.
