My eyes are always wandering in search of new lipsticks whenever I hit a makeup store or counter. I was amazed to see a few new things by Maybelline (like an old wine in a new bottle). All of us might have tried lipsticks from the “Colorsensational” range in the past. This time, Maybelline has launched “Loaded Bolds” range. I picked up red lipsticks, my safest bet! Very soon, I am planning to explore and pick the entire range. Till then, I am enjoying using my “Dynamite Red” and “Smoking Red” lipsticks.

My Experience with Maybelline The Loaded Bolds by Colorsensational Lipstick Smoking Red:
I am blown away! In just one swatch, I knew the whole story. This lipstick turned out to be a creamy opaque gorgeous red in warm tone. I knew this will be one of my favourite reds forever. The color seemed very regular whilst in the tube, the bullet also did not seem any different, but as soon as I swatched and tried it on my lips, the creamy yet very sturdy solid matte formula bowled me over.
“Smoking Red” has a bold red appeal but it is still on the warmer side. I would say this makes it perfect for Indian skin tones. I find the formula to be creamy matte, it does not bleed. It stays opaque and true to color for almost 6 hours on me.
It transfers minimally and you can even skip a lip liner with this one. It is indeed a smoking red. I also like the color-coded labeling. The blue case also is quite lovable since I have owned many Colorsensational lipsticks in the past.
These lipsticks from Maybelline reminds me of the new Revlon Mattes. Shades like “Love is On” and “I am not Afraid” come very close to this shade.
I am ready to ditch my favorite Chambor Rubis Rouge for this lipstick. The intensity is mind blowing, although if you have very dry lips, this might seem slightly drying after a couple of hours. Though I do feel it falls into the creamy matte category, I find it non drying on my lips.
