Hope you all are doing well. This review will be on the lipstick shade “Maple Kiss” from the Maybelline ColorSensational Buffs lipstick range.
True n*de lip color pigments for honest flesh tone color. Uniquely sensuous feel from precious oils. Raw. Real. Pigments explode with sensuous impact… sensational.
My Experience with Maybelline Maple Kiss ColorSensational The Buffs Lip Color:
Maybelline’s “In the Buff” collection features a wide array of neutral shades designed to work as the perfect n*de lipstick for every skin tone. The shade “Maple Kiss” caught my eye, hence I got this particular shade even though this cannot be considered a n*de lipstick on me.
Packaging: The lipsticks from this collection come with a dusty beige cap. The name of the shade can be read on a sticker underneath the lipstick.
Texture and Pigmentation: This lipstick applied smoothly on the lips without any tug or skip. I was highly impressed with the dreamy creamy application and how it deposited 100% color in one swipe. The slightly curved tip hugged my lips and provided a smooth application.
The texture of this lipstick is very forgiving. It makes the lips appear smoother and does not accentuate fine lines or dry patches.
Shade: I am in love with this shade. “Maple Kiss” is a gorgeous coppery-rusty brown with hints of orange undertone. It is a very warm shade and looks breathtakingly beautiful on our desi skin tone. I believe it is a very universally flattering shade and light-medium to dusky skin can carry off this shade with ease. This is a shade you could wear everyday.
Finish: This lipstick has a gorgeous satin finish. It gives the lips just the right amount of sheen without being too glossy.
Staying Power: Since it is a very creamy lipstick, it is prone to transferring. The staying power is just like traditional lipstick around 4-5 hours and will need reapplication after a full meal, but the whole time it is on my lips, it feels highly comfortable.
Scent: This lipstick has a very noticeable sweet chocolate-y scent which I enjoy. It does not have any detectable taste.
Overall, I absolutely love this lipstick. This shade is very similar except for the difference in finish and can be called a close dupe of Givenchy Le Rouge 104 which I adore and have reviewed earlier on IMBB. I highly recommend this lipstick.
