Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick 810 Grape

Hi Ladies, Here comes another review from my Maybelline lipstick collection. I mostly end up going to the Maybelline counters whenever I visit Westside or Lifestyle to check what’s new and the price often makes me pick at least one of these beauties.

Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick 810 Grape

The lipstick that I am going to review today is Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick 810 Grape.

The colour is kind of a dark purple-plum and is quite similar to Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick Dusky Mauve. It has slight silver shimmery particles in it which makes the lipstick to appear glossy. The texture of the lipstick is around 80% matte and 20% creamy. The lipstick is quite pigmented and a single swipe leaves quite a bit of colour on the lips and settles in lines after some time. The lipstick is quite long lasting and easily stays on for 5-6 hours with food and drinks.

Rs. 220 (got it for 200 after discount).

The colour of the lipstick when worn makes me appear dark. So, I use this lipstick only when I am wearing something in purple. I personally would pick some other shade from the Plumtastic collection from Maybelline the next time I need a plum shade.

Also, I would recommend you to rather pick dusky mauve from these lipsticks and top it up with some shimmery gloss if you want to get a shimmery effect rather than picking up this shade. Dusky mauve has been reviewed here.

What I Like about Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick – 810 Grape:

Staying power is good and lasts for around 5-6 hours without food or drinks, after which the color becomes light, but does not fade away completely.
Very well pigmented, thus a single swipe is good enough.
Reasonably priced.
Packaging is quite decent.

What I Don’t Like about Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick – 810 Grape:

Becomes difficult to remove the shimmery glitters while taking the lipstick off.
Makes lips dry after some time because of the neither matte nor creamy texture of the lipstick.

Nice review…Colour looks good…though im not sure about the staying power in may case…lasts hardly 3 hrs… 🙁
