Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick – 926 Pure Passion
Hi Ladies,
My search for my kind of “perfect red” got me “Pure Passion” lipstick from Maybelline, which I am reviewing here. I was looking for “Cherries in the Glow” lip gloss from Revlon, but since it was out of stock, I stumbled upon this.

My Experience with Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick – 926 Pure Passion:
The lip colour is dark maroon, but appears red on my lips. The colour instantly brightens up my face. When the colour is applied directly, it is opaque and quite pigmented. Somehow, I feel the colour gets applied a little too much and looks a bit over the top for my complexion. However, I found that it can be toned down when applied with a lip brush to get the perfect colour and a nice finish. I usually top it with a transparent gloss. Its looks beautiful with red sarees and black dresses. For me, it is just the perfect wear for parties.
The colour stays on for 5-6 hours easily with food and drinks after which it fades leaving a red tint on the lips.

Cons of Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick – 926 Pure Passion:
- The lipstick is very pigmented and may look very bright and over the top. I always use a lip brush to apply the lipstick to get the exact amount of pigmentation.

you know yesterday only I took out my red lipstick and was thinking of wearing it again and there i am tempted all the more. 🙂 I am super comfortable wearing bright colors now. Nice revivew…need some help for choosing right lip shades. I have a wheatish skin tone but my skin around my lips are a little dark due to tan (which i am trying to remove). so any suggestions which lip colour suits me..as i always wanted to purchase a bright colour lipstick but always ended up buying shades of pink/ peach or some lip gloss in neutral shades. My last pick was Maybelline Watershine pure P22.
