Maybelline Nude Flush Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color Review

The Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid lipsticks were launched a while ago and I have already reviewed 4 shades from this range – “Electric Pink,” “Fuchsia Ecstasy,” “Pink Charge” and “Vivid Violet.” Today, I am reviewing the shade “Nude Flush.” So, read on to find out more about this product.

Product Description:
Lip color glides on smooth to a matte finish.  Infused with pure pigments for high-impact color.  Creamy liquid base for a soft, cushiony feel. Drench your lips in Vivid Matte.  Bold, vivid color glides easily onto lips for a velvety matte finish. Formula is comfortable and creamy with a smooth feel upon application. With full color coverage, the result is a rich, intense lip look in a range of colors from Nude Flush to Nude Flush to Nude Flush. Available in 10 vibrant, matte shades.

For Best Results:
Step 1. Apply your Maybelline matte liquid color by starting in the center of your upper lip.
Step 2. Work from the center to the outer edges, and then follow the contours of your mouth.
Step 3. Glide the matte liquid color across the entire bottom lip.

My Experience with Maybelline Nude Flush Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color:

Packaging: This liquid lipstick comes in a transparent rectangular tube with a black cap. The packaging is pretty simple yet effective. The cap is a screw-on type and hence there is no danger of it coming off loose. The name of the lipstick appears on a sticker at the bottom.  The applicator sponge is pretty long and flat. It picks up a decent amount of the product. It is easy to use and makes the application precise and quick.

Shade/Pigmentation:  “Nude Flush” is one of the lightest shades from this collection. It is a delicate pinkish mauve n*de shade. Of course, such shades have a tendency to wash people out and it is necessary to complement it well with appropriate eye makeup. I personally liked the shade as it is a perfect n*de for my skin tone.  The lipstick is decently pigmented, but at least two swipes are needed for a smooth and even finish. Layering does lead to a slight clumping of the lipstick.

Texture/Finish:  The lipstick has a creamy texture. It is not very runny and spreads easily on the lips.  This range is advertised as matte, but the lipstick does not dry down completely and remains slightly wet throughout its wear time. It has a pretty glossy finish.

The lipstick feels comfortable and lightweight on the lips and does not feel drying. It does not highlight any dry patches, but I would still recommend exfoliating lips before application.

The lipstick has a faint scent but nothing too overpowering. The good part is that the scent doesn’t stay on for long once applied.

Lasting Power:  Since this lipstick is not truly matte, it does transfer. It lasts on me for around 4-5 hours depending on what I am snacking/drinking.

Pros of Maybelline Nude Flush Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color:

• Nice n*de shade.
• Creamy texture which glides smoothly on the lips.
• Decent pigmentation.
• Does not feel drying on the lips.
• Does not highlight any dry patches.

Cons of Maybelline Nude Flush Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color:

• This particular shade might wash out some.
• Does not have a matte finish as advertised.
• Clumps if layered.
• Average staying power.

You can try this lipstick if you think this shade will suit you.  I will not repurchase the exact same shade.
