Hello lovely ladies, previously, I had reviewed the shades “Pink Potion” and “Make Me Blush” from Maybelline’s Powder Matte Lipstick range. Today, I am going to reviewing Maybelline Colorsensational Powder Matte Lipstick in the shade Fushcia Flash. Read on for more details about this beautiful shade.

My Experience with Maybelline The Powder Mattes Colorsensational Fuchsia Flash Lipstick:

The packaging of the lipstick is nice. The lipstick comes in the regular Maybelline Colorsensational packaging. The lipstick tube is rectangular and comes wrapped in a cellophane paper bearing the product description, ingredients list, etc. The tube has a mirror finish and closes with a long-colored plastic cap.

The cap is color coded according to the color family the respective shade falls into. As this one belongs to pink family, it’s cap is pink in color. Also, there is a color-coded sticker at the base of the lipstick tube, which bears the shade name. The cap of the lipstick shuts securely making it purse friendly. Overall, I do not find any flaws about the packaging of the product. It is nice and travel friendly.

“Fuchsia Flash” is a hot Barbie pink shade with cool undertones. The color is vibrant and it instantly brightens up the face. The shade is bold and it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. It is a perfect party shade and looks lovely on my lips. This shade does not contain any shimmer or chunky glitter. This lipstick has an ultra matte finish. Though it imparts a slight sheen initially, later it settles down to a perfect powdery matte finish. The lipstick is decently pigmented and is capable of hiding pigmented lips very well. It gives semi-opaque coverage in a single swipe and the olor is easily buildable. Just two-three swipes are good enough for perfect opaque and even finish.

I have fallen in love with the texture of these powder lipsticks by Maybelline. Normally, matte lipsticks tend to have a dry texture but these powder mattes are quite different. These are incredibly soft and smooth. The lipstick is buttery smooth and glides on the lips like a dream without any tug or pull. Being so creamy smooth in texture, the lipstick does not break or melt (which happens to most of my Maybelline lipsticks, no matter what the range). And I am glad with the fact that these lipsticks do not break or detach from the base. The formula is great but it has the tendency of clinging to the dry patches of the lips (every matte lipstick does that). Therefore, prepping the lips prior to application is mandatory. The color does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.

The formula is feathery light and feels ultra comfortable on the lips. It almost feels like nothing on the lips. The lipstick is not very moisturizing, so I prefer using a lip balm beneath, otherwise my lips get dry at the end of the day. The formula is smudge proof and the color does not smudge even after a heavy meal as well. The formula is not heavily transferring. There is very little transfer of color.

The lasting power is 4-5 hours on my lips with slight fading. It would survive meals and also fades away evenly, leaving a pink tint behind. Since I am not a fan of tints that are left behind by lipsticks, I immediately go for reapplication. The darker shades from this range leave stubborn stain behind which is slightly difficult to remove and can only be taken down using a good makeup remover.
