Today, it’s going to be about the Maybelline Pure Mineral Healthy Natural Concealer. This concealer has been around for a long time now and I have seen people rave about this.  I have been repurchasing this for 2 years already and I’m more than ready to give you my take on this product.

My Take on Maybelline Pure Concealer Mineral Healthy Natural Concealer:

A good concealer is a must in my daily makeup routine and it has been a staple in my routine for years now. Finding the perfect all-in-one concealer is one of the biggest obstacles as you have got to look at the colour, texture, lasting duration of the product and so on. Thus, I just tend to buy different concealers for different purposes.  I have been using this concealer continuously for the past 2 years and this was my first concealer. It comes in 3 different shades, 01, 02 and 03.

This concealer has got a creamy and thick texture, but it’s not drying to skin at all. It doesn’t accentuate dry patches or clog pores. It’s easy to blend with makeup sponges, brushes and even fingertips. It gives a natural, powdery finish, but isn’t cakey.

The applicator comes in a lip-gloss applicator like sponge but I find that each time I want to apply the concealer, I end up having to scuff some at the brim of the tube as there is too much on the applicator. Packaging on the other hand is something I truly appreciate. The lid doesn’t have a life of it’s own and doesn’t unscrew itself, creating a huge, beige mess in my makeup bag.

I have got normal skin, but I’m cursed with horrid under-eye dark circles and this concealer doesn’t do much for them. They are barely covered as it’s too sheer for my under-eyes and settles into the fine lines of my eye bags. But it does brighten my under-eyes. As for blemishes, it does cover spots that are left after breakouts and small breakouts too. If it’s a huge breakout, this concealer isn’t ideal because it’s a light to medium coverage concealer.

However, this concealer works wonders for redness and veins. I normally have a little bit of redness under my nose and super visible veins on my eyelids and they cover these imperfections up without a problem.

It lasts up to 9 hours alone and with a bit of pressed or fixing powder, it doesn’t budge at all. When applied after primer/makeup base and foundation or BB cream, it stays well, but I would still recommend dabbing some pressed or fixing powder on.

Cons of Maybelline Pure Concealer Mineral Healthy Natural Concealer:

• Applicator tends to pick up too much product.
• Light to medium coverage.
• Doesn’t cover under-eye dark circles well.
• Settles into fine lines of the eye bags.
• Doesn’t cover huge breakouts well.

Would I Repurchase Maybelline Pure Concealer Mineral Healthy Natural Concealer?

Till I find something better, yes I would repurchase this again.

I would recommend this to those who are looking for a light to medium coverage or a good concealer for redness and concealing veins.
