Today, I will be reviewing another lipstick from the recently launched ‘Rebel bouquet’ range from Maybelline. I got the shade ‘REB 07’earlier which I loved unconditionally and it was a good enough reason to pick up another one, thanks to IMBB .

My experience with Maybelline REB 10 Colorsensational Rebel Bouquet Lipstick :

Packaging: The packaging is so very similar to the color sensational lippies. The seal came with the attractive floral font which I thought would be on the cap, but once the seal is removed the cuteness factor decreases. Maybelline lippies have gorgeous packaging, with bright caps and a silver tube complementing it. The shade number is printed on a color coded sticker at the bottom. It is pretty and travel-friendly.

Shade: REB 10 is a very bright ‘pop’ pink. It can be called a hot pink, but not hot enough to hurt the eyes. The quotient is well maintained though. The pink is not too cool toned or neon thankfully! The shade is not very unique or anything but personally I love it a lot. When observed carefully there are some very fine pink shimmers here and there which is visible on lips. It is not loaded with shimmers! (Lakme, I hope you’re reading this!)

Texture and pigmentation: The texture is super smooth and creamy. It glides on lips like breeze even though they are not exfoliated. But again the color may settle into the dry flakes, so care needs to be taken to smoothen it out. The pigmentation is average; not intensely pigmented for a bold color. But the color can be built easily.

Finish: I really like the finish of these lippies. It is basically creamy matte finish but it looks glossy. While snacking or drinking, the color does not transfer but the glossy finish does. That’s a plus.

Lasting power: I was perplexed to see that this color doesn’t transfer as much as REB 07; that’s pretty weird. This lipstick lasts about 4 hours on me with all the chattering and it also survives a meal! As I mentioned, the color does not transfer heavily only the top layer does. After that it looks matte. It starts to fade from the corners after which re-application is needed. It leaves a pretty pink stain behind that is easily removable. It is also quite moisturizing I can say, as I did not feel my lips to be dried out at the end of the day.

• It will suit most skin tones with ease.
• Texture is super creamy and smooth.
• Glides on lips easily without exfoliation.
• No such prominent taste or smell.
• Pigmentation is good and buildable.
• Affordable and easily available.

Cons of Maybelline REB 10 Colorsensational Rebel Bouquet Lipstick:

• Not a very unique shade.
