Maybelline #REB02 ColorSensational Rebel Bouquet Lipstick Review

Anyway, today I’ll be reviewing the second lipstick I have from the new Maybelline Rebel Bouquet range. Am I impressed by it? Sure I am! I always am of amazing stuff. But why? Read on to know! 😀

My Experience with Maybelline Rebel Bouquet REB02 Lipstick :

After reading the review for the REB07, I bought it and I was highly impressed by the shade. Then, I ordered for the REB02 and because I bought it online, I wasn’t really sure of the shade. When I opened it, I was in love! The colour is the perfect combination of red & pink. It’s not a coral and neither is it a hot pink. It’s amazing, whatever it is! The texture is soft and creamy so it glides on smoothly on the lips. After a while, it starts to settle to an almost matte finish (which I love!). It survives light meals and transfers a bit initially. But it also leaves an even pink stain behind. The staying power is awesome! It stays on for a good 4-5 hours easily and that’s the best part. It’s going to be my go-to lipstick after the REB07. The pigmentation is not dark, neither is it light. It’s the perfect balance for this season and looks great on the lips. The packaging is pretty. But I would’ve preferred the ‘REBEL’ on the cap instead of the plastic as that would’ve looked awesome! Nevertheless, the cap & the lipstick itself is sturdy and travel-friendly. The name & shade of the lipstick are provided at the bottom and that’s a great way to differentiate. All in all, I love the shade as I don’t have something like this in my kitty and it came as a happy surprise 😀

Strengths of Maybelline Rebel Bouquet REB02 Lipstick :

• Shade colour is given on the bottom of the lipstick (refer picture with REB02 & REB07).
• Glides on lips smoothly.

• Beautiful array for shades from the range.
• Pigmentation is just right! Not too dark, not too light.
• Affordable.
• Long shelf life.

Flaws of Maybelline Rebel Bouquet REB02 Lipstick :

• The shade might be a little bright for some people.
• May not suit people with a dusky skin tone.
• Packaging could’ve looked a little better (if the ‘Rebel’ were on the lipstick instead of the plastic).
• Transfers a bit.
• Dry lipped beauties might need to apply lip balm prior application.

Conclusion :
It’s the perfect shade for summers and my favourite from this range! It’s staying power & pigmentation are what’s commendable about it and that’s what’s important, right? The shade is just beautiful and all I have to say is, don’t skip this one!
