I hope you all are doing well. My exams are going on but still I can’t keep myself away from you all. IMBB is the biggest addiction I have had till now. Coming on to today’s review, it is a deep red shade from Maybelline Colorshow lipstick range. Even when these were not launched I had decided to buy one shade each of pink, red, mauve and brown. The three shades I have, Crushed Candy, Caramel Custard and Forever Mauve; have already been reviewed here. Read on to find out about the shade Ruby Twilight.
Maybelline Color Show Lipstick is a fashionable intense lipstick, which comes in chic to vivid shades. Maybelline Color Show Lipstick is highly pigmented giving bold lips.

My take on Maybelline Ruby Twilight Colorshow Lipstick:
The packaging of the product is nothing new. It comes the classic black packaging. The cap closes with a click and is travel-friendly. The only new thing is that it has a small band around it in the centre which indicates the family of shade it belongs to.
In my lipstick reviews, I had expressed my love for red lipsticks and this is no exception. It is a deep red shade which is very much buildable. I did try many shades of red at the counter and this turned out to be the shade I liked the most. It doesn’t have shimmer to it but does give a nice glossy feeling. It would suit fair skin tones the most and is appropriate for night time look.
The lipstick glides on easily and has very creamy texture. I have extremely dry lips during winter and but still I don’t need to apply a lip balm beneath the lipstick. I also have slightly pigmented lips but they are perfectly covered by just one swipe. At this price, the moisturization and pigmentation are good enough.
The staying power claims of the lipstick are very true. It stays on for 4-5 hours with heavy meals in between. Even when the lipstick fades away my lips do feel moisturized for quite a time. It does transfer a little and even begins to smudge after some time. It easily gets removed by a good makeup remover.
Pros of Maybelline Ruby Twilight Colorshow Lipstick:
• A gorgeous red shade.
• Travel-friendly packaging.
• Immensely moisturizing.
• Pigmentation is good enough to cover pigmented lips in one swipe.
• I have fair skin tone and it suits me perfectly.
• It goes pretty well with any kind of dresses.
• Staying power is 4-5 hours.
Cons of Maybelline Ruby Twilight Colorshow Lipstick:
• Smudges after some time.
• Has the tendency to transfer.
