I want to review a loose powder eyeshadow from Maybelline in the shade “Sophisticated Wine.” It was a gift from a close friend in USA. I have been using it extensively, so I thought of reviewing it for all of you.

My Experience with Maybelline Shadow Stylist Loose Powder – Sophisticated Wine:

This is one of the first few eyeshadows in my collection. It is also special because it was a gift from US. Talking about this eyeshadow, it is a loose powder. It is basically a shimmer eyeshadow. The shade is kind of rose gold. The shimmer is quite prominent. The color is lovely and the pigmentation is also quite good. You can apply it with a light hand and the application will be sheer whereas you can make it as much opaque as you want.  The texture is buttery smooth. I have used this without primer and it stays for approximately 5-6 hours which I think is pretty good.  It blends quite well and gives a very natural finish. It is not drying at all.

Talking about the packaging, it is a cylindrical container with an applicator on the lid. The applicator is quite soft. The only drawback is that I can’t see how much product is left. Otherwise, the packaging is quite sturdy and it’s travel friendly. I have not experienced any spillage.

• Can’t see the amount of product left.
• Not available in India.
