Maybelline Shine Sensational Lip Gloss – Crushed Candy Review

By Pallabi Dasgupta

Hello everyone,

Today, I would be reviewing a Maybelline shine sensational lip gloss. My dad got this lip gloss shade from US along with a lip stain (I know, sweet right!!). I have been using this for a long time now, so I thought I would review it.

Price:

$5.99

Product Description:

More shine. More luscious. More yum. Luscious shine, delectable feel, non-sticky. Moisturizing high shine formula. Comes in 18 different enticing flavours and fragrances.

My Experience with Maybelline Shine Sensational Lip Gloss – Crushed Candy:

I have used this gloss for around a year now and I guess I can easily say that I kind of like it. It is a clear gloss with slight silver shimmer.  It looks like bubble gum pink inside the tube but when you spread it on the lips, it shows no colour. My lips are little bit pigmented and it shows up the same way when I am wearing this gloss.

I have felt a slight tingly feeling when I wear it and it tingles for some time and then fades.  The gloss has a mint flavour (Yes!! I always end up eating it). It moisturises lips very well and for a long time, like around 1-2 hours unless you eat or drink something and also if you can resist licking it off due to the mint flavour. It is absolutely non sticky which I really love.

I have used this mainly in the winters when my lips tend to get extra dry and I have not faced any problems like dry lips. These days, I am using them with the matte lipsticks like Lakme 9 to 5. It gives it a little lustre.  So, you can use this gloss as it is or over your favourite lip shade if you feel it’s too drying.

It comes in a tube packaging with a hole in the centre. I personally don’t like this kind of packaging mainly because I have the take the product on my fingers and then put them on my lips. But yes I have gotten used to it.
