Maybelline recently launched their Maybelline Super Stay 24 Lip Color range in India and I have already reviewed the shades ‘Keep Up The Flame’ and ‘Constantly Cabernet’. Today I am talking about the shade ‘Timeless Rose’. Let’s get into the review.

How to Use:
Step 1. Apply liquid lip color to clean, bare lips.
Step 2. Allow two minutes to dry, then apply the ultra-conditioning balm to seal in moisture.
Step 3. Reapply balm as needed.
Step 4. Remove with an oil-based makeup remover.
My Experience with Maybelline Super Stay 24 Lip Color Timeless Rose:
Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a clear outer box with all the details. The actual lip color comes in a white dual-ended tube. One side of this tube is white while the other one is color-coded. I can open both the sides smoothly. The color-coded side contains the liquid lip color and the white side has a clear lip balm. I like this compact packaging and the products never leak. It is very easy to carry around. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube. It comes with a very nice applicator that evenly spreads the color on the lips. The brush is of good quality and you can easily line your lips with a steady hand.
Shade and Pigmentation:
‘Timeless Rose’ is a very natural-looking rosy pink shade that looks like a pretty n*de pink shade on my skin tone. This shade has some silver shimmers in it that provide a silvery shine to the lips. I am not a fan of shimmery lip colors still Timeless Rose looks very pretty even with the silvery glow. Shimmers never look overpowering. Timeless Rose acts as a perfect daily wear MLBB shade that can go with any outfit and it suits all skin tones well. Also, it is a super pigmented shade that hardly requires two swipes for the true color to show up.
Texture and Quality:
It is a 2-in-1 lip color, which contains one liquid lipstick and one lip balm. I need to apply the liquid lipstick quick and then I need to apply the balm over that liquid color. The liquid lip color has a smooth texture that glides easily on the lips without any tugging. The product spreads evenly on the lips. It needs two layers for that perfect, even texture that never moves. But excess layering would make it a little heavy and patchy.
The texture is too sticky in nature, so don’t touch your lips; otherwise it will peel off from the lips. You must wait until the product dry out properly. After 1-2 minutes, it settles down to a perfect matte texture and feels very dry on the lips. This is why you must apply the balm on top of the matte shade. When the color dries out completely and settles down to a perfect, non-transferable and matte texture, it doesn’t smudge at all even with the balm. It stays perfectly in place without any mess. It is a totally waterproof lip color, but I can’t apply it without the balm. The lip color highlights lip flaws and fine lines, making the lips feel chapped, if I do not follow the second step.
This lip balm provides the desired amount of hydration to the lips, making lips feel softer. It actually reduces the dryness and provides a glossy shine. With lip balm, it offers a shiny, metallic finish. I would prefer this shade with a perfect matte finish, but the formula doesn’t work individually. It doesn’t settle into the fine lines and never creases, but if you apply an excess amount of the product, the product might bleed from the inner corners. In fact, it may even transfer to your teeth.
Staying Power:
The brand claims that this is a 24-hour lip color and this claim is almost true. It is a super long-lasting lip color that stays for around 15-16 hours on my lips. I never keep my lipstick on for 24 hours but, for long lasting effects, you need to follow the proper way of application. Also, it can perfectly survive any kind of food and heavy meal. It never fades even a single bit but I need to reapply the lip balm after lunch.
Removal of this lip color is quite a problem. Still, since it a light shade, it is better than the other dark shades I own. I need a good oil or cream based makeup remover to remove it completely. I just need to apply it, keep it on for around 2-3 minutes and then remove with a wipe. This way, the color comes off easily. But after removing it I must follow up with a good lip balm to take care of my lips. It makes lips a little dry by the time I remove it.
Overall:
I love this range for its longevity. Reapplication is not required at all, which is just perfect for me. I can manage with the dryness, so I am very happy and love this subtle rosy pink shade that looks very pretty.
