I have been the biggest fan of Maybelline and, I make sure to try each and every product from them. But, I have not really used compact powders from Maybelline other than the Clear Glow and Superfresh variants. This time, I thought of trying something better, and hence, bought this product called “Superstay Better Skin’” powder. Read the full review to know more.

My Experience with Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Powder:

Packaging: Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Powder comes in a square shaped packaging, which is white in colour and looks pretty different when compared to the regular circular compact powders. They have an entire “Better Skin” range to use for attaining better results. The compact is very handy and closes with a click, thus no issues of it opening while carrying it around. Also, it comes with a soft sponge applicator, which is perfect for application and also comes with a mirror.

It has around 8 shades to choose from and, one will find a suitable shade for their skin tone. I chose the shade “N*de Beige”, which is a perfect match for my skin tone. It also contains salicylic acid that will help in controlling the oil and acne. However, it is pretty expensive as compared to any drugstore compact powders but, let me tell you this one is totally worth the money.

Texture, coverage and feel on the skin: The texture of this compact powder is just incredible. It is a finely milled pressed powder, which glides very smooth and flawlessly on the skin. It does not appear to be artificial or cakey at all. The powder is velvety soft and gives a beautiful finish, which makes the skin look clearer and a lot better than before. It certainly lives up to its claims of providing a “Better Skin”. It provides a very good coverage, which is totally not expected from a compact powder. It provides a medium to heavy coverage that conceals the uneven skin tone, blemishes and dark circles to a great extent. It is a lightweight powder and feels like I haven’t applied anything on my face.

Results: The compact powder stays on my skin for a long time of 5-6 hours and keeps the oily shine at bay for around 3-4 hours. I cannot see the oil on my face actually even after 3-4 hours but, it does not look as fresh as when applied initially. Honestly, it is one of the best compact powders that I have ever used. It is a compact powder that gives an amazing coverage and, I don’t feel the need to apply a foundation underneath.

• Expensive for a compact (but, totally worth it).
• They test on animals.
