This post is about a product which is not available yet, not even on the Maybelline site but I bought it via a pre-launch promo by Walmart. When I received the mail from Walmart with such a fancy offer, I grabbed it in the blink of an eye.Continue reading about the newbie in the town.

My take on Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette :

In my previous posts, I have mentioned that I am not a big fan of mono eye shadows because they are too much of a fuss and occupy a lot of space so I either depot them or just buy a palette in the same amount ; when I saw this one, I bought it because of the pretty nude shades.
I always wanted a palette with nude shades but the ones which are available are way too expensive or have poor pigmentation but since I have always loved Maybelline, I took a leap of faith and bought this palette. This palette is not very pricey and is very appealing, so I had to buy it.
Packaging: Even on the lower end of price range; the packaging is not cheap or fragile. It is about my palm length, just shy of an inch. It has plastic see through cover and all the colors are embedded in their designated slots. It would have been better if there were an in-built mirror but alas, no such luck.

Shades in the top row from left to right:
Shade 1: It’s an off white shade with fine shimmer particles, in one sweep it gives a very sheer finish but two or more give good pigmentation. It can be used as brow or cheek highlighter.
Shade 2: Pretty buff pink shade with mild shimmer. It is not as sheer as the first one but still requires multiple sweeps to be visible. This shade can be used as blush or highlighter.
Shade 3: It’s like the previous shade, except has coral undertones.
Shade 4: This is the only matte shade in the palette and is pale pink in color. It is perfect for crease line and can be used for blending dark shadows.
Shade 5: This is a burnt copper shade with coral undertones. This shade is perfect for the lids or brow bone for hooded lids.
Shade 6: It is similar to the previous color except it has pink undertones and is little on the darker side. This shade is perfect for a night out or party time if used as dark kohl as canvas; it can be worn individually for a subtle day look

Shades in the bottom row from left to right:
Shade 1: It is a silver shade with over tones of grey rather than white which makes it a little unique
Shade 2: It is a combination of dull brown and grey with mild shimmer; it is perfect for day look or to accentuate a light eye shadow.
Shade 3: Very pretty sable brown shade with mild shimmer
Shade 4: Dark brown muddy color like mud at swamps or river bed and can be used for smokey eye look.
Shade 5: Like previous shade but with more of pink than brown and has more obvious shimmer
Shade 6: It’s the darkest of all shade with both pink and silver shimmer particles. It is perfect for top coat to finish an eye look for a traditional ceremony. I guess all brides to be would dig this shade.

Wear time: 8 to 10 hours and more if used with primer.

Pros of Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette:

• Pretty pink packaging with a see-through cover.
• Shade range is meant for all skin tones and all occasions.
• Ideally priced for quality and quantity.
• Low fall out.
• No odor.
• Stays for at least 8 to 10 hours.

Cons of Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette:

• In-built mirror is missing.
• Sponge applicators provided are useless.
• Primer is required to prolong wear time.
• Shade range could have been more diverse.
• Only one matte shade.
• Some shades have a low pigmentation.
• Not a good competition for Urban Decay Naked Palette.

Would I repurchase Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette?
No, because it will last me a long time; also if others don’t mind spending twice the money, then they should try L’Oreal Color Riche La Palette which is a better match for the Urban Decay Naked Palette.
