I did a huge Maybelline Haul sometime back. Today, I am reviewing Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara from the same haul. Read on to get into the details of this product.
Price and Quantity:
459 PHP or 650 INR approximately for 9.7 ml.
My Experience with Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara:
The mascara comes in a regular cardboard packaging with the entire product related information printed on the backside of this packaging. The mascara comes in a beautiful metallic tube. The tube is glossy black in the middle with detailing in beautiful rose gold fonts. The packaging looks funky and attractive.
The mascara applicator is quite different from the regular applicators. The applicator looks more or less like a comb. The applicator wand is pretty long. The applicator is a fairly straight plastic applicator with sharp spiky bristles. The brand says that the applicator has the push-up cup design that scoops the lashes from the roots and pulls them upwards. Overall, I don’t find any flaws in the packaging and the applicator.
This shade of the mascara is called “Very Black” and it is indeed an extremely black mascara. The pigmentation of the mascara is intense. It gives that perfect jet black color therefore that perfect deep black. I love the fact that this mascara does not contain any fibers or something like my Maybelline Barbie Mascara because it is really difficult to remove them and the fine fibers sometimes gets into my eyes and irritates them so much. It is pretty safe to be used on my sensitive eyes and with contact lenses too. It does not cause any eye irritation.
In terms of texture, the mascara is slightly thicker and also creamy. The mascara is voluminizing and also it lifts up the lashes. The applicator wand helps to apply mascara easily on the lower eyelashes too. The applicator is not so huge and it never pokes the eyes. It strokes out easily without smearing the upper and lower lash line. I did not face any issues like flaking, smearing and smudging with this mascara. It does not make my eyelashes crunchy or too stiff. It is pretty comfortable to wear.
The mascara sets to a soft and glossy finish. It gives nice curling effect to the eyelashes even without using an eyelash curler. It gives kind of incredible length to the eyelashes. It adds an amazing volume to the eyelashes and makes them look dense and long. It does not clump my eyelashes even upon layering. It does not weigh down my eyelashes. Two to three coats are good enough to give that dramatic effect to the eyes. I have applied just two coats in the eye swatch below. It is smudge proof and waterproof. I have gone out in rain with this mascara on my eyes and it does not come off at all.
The lasting power of this mascara around 6-7 hours nicely, which is again great! Removing the mascara is slightly difficult as it is a waterproof variant, but using a good eye makeup remover with an oil-based formula make the removal part easier and mess free.
