Hi, beauties!
I have recently purchased few Maybelline products and I am super excited about all of them. I have been trying the products for the last few days. One of them is this new Maybelline The MAGNUM Barbie Mascara. People say that they never leave home without Kajal, but I am a girl who never leaves home without mascara. It is the only product which makes my eyes look perfect. So, I love to try out new mascaras.

My Experience with Maybelline The Magnum Barbie Mascara:

Packaging: As it is a ‘Barbie’ mascara, it should look cute and girly. And yeah, it is the cutest mascara I own. It comes in a bright yellow tube with a glossy deep pink cap. It looks so pretty and eye catching. The cap is air tight and never leaks. The wand looks exactly the same as the wand of their The Falsies Mascara.

It has a curvy wand which is made of plastic. The combination of the bristles is ok, not as good as their Falsies, though. This is because there are few odd bristles here and there on the wand. Overall, the applicator works smoothly and covers each and every lash.

Shade: It comes in only one shade – black. It is a nice jet black shade. It can provide a deep bold color to my lashes. It is highly pigmented which makes the lashes look perfectly black with just two coats. It is a nice option if you have light lashes.

Quality & texture: The wand looks similar to the Falsies but the formula is quite different. The consistency of this mascara is neither too thick nor runny. It is almost a medium creamy consistency but a little on the thicker side. It glides smoothly on the lashes but after few coats it clumps a little and it dries out quickly on the lashes. So, it needs to be applied very quickly. It doesn’t look patchy after application.

But, I feel that excess layers can make it clumpy. So, better apply only two to three coats. It feels light on the lashes. It doesn’t feel heavy after putting even three coats. It helps to hold my curls nicely. The bristles reach even the smallest of lashes and define them well.

It claims that “doll up” our lashes. It helps to open up my eyes and gives a wide awake look. Even without any lash curler, it lifts my lashes nicely and gives a nice “doll like” curl look to them. It also lengthens my eyelashes. It also provides a decent amount of volume with just two coats. My lashes look pretty but not like a Barbie doll. The formula is smudge-proof and waterproof which I really like during summer.

Staying Power: It stays perfectly on my lashes. It almost stays the whole long day because last night I forgot to remove the mascara and my lashes still looked curled and lovely in the morning. It is really an amazing experience. And it still had not smudged. So, it is a very long wearing mascara.

Overall: I really like this mascara. It boosts up my eyelashes by making them look pretty, curled and thick. But it can’t define my lashes like the Falsies mascara. It clumps between lashes a little and it has a dry nature. Sometimes, during application or after the application, the dry flakes go into my eyes and irritate me little. It might just be my problem, though. To remove this, a good oil based remover is required.

IMBB Rating:

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Maybelline The Magnum Barbie Mascara?
I am not sure about repurchasing it because I like the Falsies more than this one. But I like the way it lifts my lashes without a curler.
