I do have many greens and blues but a pink for any eye pencil? Err no but I just bought it for the kick of having a unique color like this. Little did I know it would be such a fabulous color and such a versatile product! Read on to know why u should get it this weekend!

Maybelline Vivid & Smooth Liner By Eyestudio has a lot of colours to chose from and the one that I got was a beautiful silver shimmer in dark pink eye pencil . I chose this over the lighter pink because the other pink would be hard to wear owing to the color but this one sure has its own uses. It is a dark pink and has silver shimmer and not at all matte in any way. It’s a funny color for an eye pencil but I suppose all of these can be used as an eye shadow and base. And funnily enough, this one makes for a very pretty lip color as well but on the dry side.

My experience with the pencil:
The pencil is smooth to use but I will not say very smooth, it delivers a lot of color in one swipe and is very true to its color shown outside at the base. It is soft no doubt and give it a minute it will set fine and will npow smudge unless you try very hard to smudge it .the pencil has to used the correct way the first time around otherwise it sets and is difficult to work with later.

The many ways I use it :
• I found this to be a fantastic eye shadow base as it sets and then u can pat the shadow on top of this so the color is true and any other color can be modified as well with this pink as a base. I love how it sets and the eyeshadow on top of it DOES NOT SMUDGE. I tried hard to smudge the one in the pics but they were set. Work fast with these before they do set.

• I just tried it as a lip color as well, but it was little dry

• I tried it as an eyeshadow on its own and it was gorgeous and pink

• Then lastly, as an eye pencil ofcourse but that is not my favourite way.

• I love it as an eyeshadow base the most!

Last word:
Everyone should get one of these. These are awesome eye shadow bases and eyeshadows and eye pencils too of course. I am getting ocean blue, olive, silver(too whitish silver), forest green as well for sure. You can find it a little dry after setting but nothing that should bother you much . 🙂 I cannot say these are very very smooth but smooth enough for an eye pencil and do not tug. These are not creamy but soft and smooth.I like how they set after a minute.

Rating : 4.5 (for the versatility and price and choice of colors and smoothness.

  7. I have this too Neha. As usual, I agree with your review, these Maybelline pencils are lovely. I have this one, the gold, olive green, greyish silver & purple. And I want the white, lavender, green & blue. I use it as liners & eye shadows too. And same pinch, I’ve used this one my lips too, but it’s too dry.

  8. those eyeshadows look awesome. BTW, I have a similar shade eye pencil in Coloressence called pearl Effect. that was 165 bucks. but these shades are extremely pretty and wearable and if you have a lot of pinks in your closet this will work great I think.

  9. Hey, I too got the same one. Was looking for plum eye shadow to try out Deeptima’s Dhunki tutorial. When i dint find one bought this. I must say it worked pretty well when i matched with black eyeshadow to create the look. works fab and is really smooth. Loving it a lot as a eyeshadow :yahoo:

  10. Loved the review neha… I previously had a pink eyeliner and i finished it off… was looking for the same and here i get it.. it is in my Must buy list now… :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
