I am back with another lippie and this time a bold one. It’s great how the IMBB addiction gets to you without even realizing. I am a big addict and no day is complete without checking IMBB for at least 2 – 3 times. The Colorshow range has been much talked about so I decided to get one for me. Since the winters are setting in and I am drooling over wine color ever since Rati has mentioned it.
I am sucker for bold lip colors and absolutely love getting eyes on me while wearing it. It automatically transforms you into a diva. The purple one is also in trend and looks awesome though I am a little skeptical as to how will look on me. I might try it soon, have you got any? let me know in the comments. Let’s see how did it go for this one.
Maybelline Color Show Lipstick is a fashionable intense lipstick, which comes in chic to vivid shades. Maybelline Color Show Lipstick is highly pigmented giving bold lips.
• It stays for up to four to five hours.
• The creamy texture is not heavy on the lips.
• It does not smear or smudge.
• It does not settle in line.
• As its highly moisturized you don’t need to wear a lip balm.
How to use:
For a perfect lip shape: start in the middle of the lips, smoothing out to the corners of the mouth.
This has been much explained in the previous posts. I would just say that not what you expect from Maybelline.
My take on Maybelline Colorshow Wine Divine:
I absolutely love this lipstick. The texture is exactly what I was craving for and the pigmentation is superb. One swipe and you are good to go. Since this a bold one you need to extra careful while applying or it’s sure to bleed. When I applied it for the first time I was a little unhappy as the color came up but around 5 minutes when it settles it you can see the beautiful wine shade so full marks for that. It has a beautiful luster to it that adds to the prettiness.
The moisturizing property is good it does not let the lips dry out without accentuating the problem areas. Somehow, I feel that prior exfoliation is always good. It transfers on cups and spoons but the best part is that it does not fade. It stayed on me for a good 4 hours with heavy meals. It did not stain my lips but I noticed it settling in the fine lines so you might want to remove it completely or re-apply else it would look awkward.
The application is very smooth and it does not feel heavy on lips. It does not smudge once set. I have a fair complexion but this particular shade is going to look awesome on everyone. Removing this isn’t hard either it can be easily removed by a mild cleanser. The quantity is okay for the price.
Overall, it’s quite a budget friendly with awesome texture and moisture. Quite a snip I say!

• Transfers but does not fade
• Once set gives a beautiful color
Cons of Maybelline Wine Divine Colorshow Lipstick:
• Settles into fine lines
• Staying power could have been a little more.
