The main concern on my face is my eye area. I have perpetual dark shadows under my eyes, with some fine lines and wrinkles. When I apply some eye cream, the problem gets somewhat reduced, but as soon as I stop using the cream, it reappears. I am still searching for my holy grail eye cream which will totally abolish the dark shadows and wrinkles…and I am ready to continue purchasing it if such a thing happens. Hence, I am always trying some or the other eye cream, and I am reviewing the latest eye cream which I have been using since 3 weeks. My take on MD Formulations Moisture Defense Antioxidant Eye Creme:

The MD Moisture Defense Antioxidant Eye Creme is a professional treatment product. The product comes in a white and grey color box packaging. Inside is a metallic, opaque bottle, with a pump mechanism, and covered with a transparent cap. The bottle contains 15 ml product. The packaging is extremely hygienic, sturdy, and ensures that the active ingredients are not exposed to air. It is very safe to be carried during travels.

The first time I used it, I had to press the pump at least 20-25 times for the product to come out. But now, the product comes out easily with slight press of the pump. The pumping mechanism is very smooth, and you can easily control the amount of product you actually want.

The creme is white in color, with a very smooth texture and perfect consistency, neither too thick nor too thin. I apply the creme only during the day time, as suggested by the company. Only a tiny bit of product is needed for use on both the eyes. The creme does not have any fragrance. It is extremely light weight, and spreads very easily on the skin. It sinks in very rapidly, without leaving any white discoloration or greasy feel on to the eyes. Any makeup can be easily applied near the eye area, without any problems.

I agree with what the company claims about the product. This creme provides a slight pearlescent finish to the under eye area; that helps mask the appearance of dark circles. It makes my dark shadows seem as if I have none at all. I can easily go without a concealer, and my eyes will seem bright and natural. All this is due to light reflecting particles, causing some kind of cosmetic trickery. However, over the past three weeks, I have not noticed any decrease in my under eyes dark shadows, when I am not using the cream.

However, it does hydrate the under eye area extremely well. It has smoothed out a few fine lines under my eyes. It stays put for a very long time and hydrates my dry eye skin very well. It does not appear oily or greasy, or heavy on the skin. It has not caused any adverse reactions in my under eye area.

• Availability in India
• Does not actually reduce or treat the under eye dark circles
• Cannot see the amount left inside the bottle
• Contains silicones, parabens

My Rating: 3.75/5

Will I repurchase it: No. Similar creams with light reflecting properties are available at much cheaper rates. I will wait for this one to finish, and then move on to the next eye cream, in my search of HG eye cream.

Will I recommend it: Only to those who have very mild under eye shadows, and need an eye cream mainly for hydration.
