This product is totally new to me! It’s a beauty balm with high SPF factor called MDSolarSciences Mineral Beauty Balm Broad Spectrum SPF 50. Let’s explore how this works for my oily -combination skin and if it is worth your money or not.

A naturally derived mineral sunscreen formula, enhanced with CoQ10 and vitamin C and E to help protect against photo-aging and deliver the antiaging benefits you want in a wonderfully whipped texture.

The lightweight, oil-free formula is enhanced with ProVention-R™ ingredients including caffeine and niacinamide to help reduce the appearance of redness and discolorations for more even-toned skin. It brightens the appearance of skin, minimizes pores, and primes skin for flawless makeup application. Enhanced with CoQ10 and vitamins C and E to help prevent photo-aging and reduce the look of lines and wrinkles, it leaves the skin smooth, hydrated, protected, and healthy-looking.

It is formulated without:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

What else you need to know:
Ideally suited for acne and rosacea-prone skin, this product offers natural and safer UV protection, helping reduce the risk of photo aging and skin cancer. It is enhanced with ProVention-R™ antioxidant protection, water resistant for up to 80 minutes, developed and approved by dermatologists, not tested on animals, and noncomedogenic. It is formulated without oxybenzone, octinoxate, aminobenzoic acid (PABA), synthetic fragrance, and gluten.

Directions for Use:
-Apply as last step in your daily skincare routine.
-Wear alone or under foundation.
-Blend thoroughly to provide a flawless matte finish.
-Apply 15 minutes before sun exposure.
-Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, and at least every two hours.

My Take on MDSolarSciences Mineral Beauty Balm Broad Spectrum SPF 50:

Starting this review with what the product actually is! It is simply a beauty balm, a BB crème moisturizer but with mineral sunscreen formula, enhanced with CoQ10 and vitamins C and E to help protect against photo-aging and to deliver the anti-aging benefits. The packaging is beige soft plastic tube. Simple, sturdy and travel friendly.

Have a look at the product description and you will be sold. Even the supplements of CoQ10 are so expensive; so the price factor is justified here. Moving on to the product details, it has a whipped cream like consistency – thick and feels really creamy. But once you start blending, it melts into the skin like butter and in a few minutes settles to a matte finish and feels lightweight on skin. The initial feeling is a bit heavy, but give it few minutes to prove that the brand’s claims of lightweight and oil-free formula are true.

Specially formulated for oily-acne prone skin, it contains ProVention-R ingredients including caffeine and niacinamide to help reduce the appearance of redness and discolorations for more even-toned skin. The performance is an eye opener. The Beauty Balm carries a matte finish yet it gives a brightened and luminous effect to the skin. It fills up pores, reducing their appearance more to a noticeable extent. The Beauty balm is available in two shades, light-medium and medium-dark. I have light-medium and initially I felt its darker, but the brightened effect proved my fears wrong.

It has medium coverage and fills out my fine lines, reduces crow’s feet appearance and covers my blemishes and dark spots to a great extent. Also, with SPF 50 and primer qualities, I don’t need any primer, sunscreen, moisturizer or foundation with this one product in hand. I am totally sold. It is formulated without Parabens and any other harmful chemicals and is not tested on animals either.
