I met Cali yesterday at The Select City Mall yesterday. She had a few hours transit in Delhi so we decided to catch up.
I think Cali is one of the simplest people I have come across. She is a simple girl who speaks her heart.
We met at Barista Coffee Shop at Select Citywalk and while we were chit chatting over a cup of coffee, we saw Andy, Chanel V VJ hopping in the mall. 😛 Cali tried hard to click his pics but he was standing a little too far from us.
She gave me these candles and a key chain as Diwali Gifts. 🙂
It was time for shopping then. We went to Inglot. We bought a 10 eye shadow palette for a friend. Cali bought a lipstick and a palette of three eye shadows – red gold and brown plus a black eye shadow with golden glitter.:) We also got Inglot pouches free free free. 🙂
Then I thought I’d show her the flagship Colorbar store. We went there asked the SA to show us a foundation brush. He said it was out of stock. And it was not likely to be available for the next one month. Then he said, “ You know we buy brushes from the same place as MAC buys them from. The distribution at the MAC store is more than that at the Colorbar store therefore the distributor supplies them more brushes than he supplies to us. Now we are looking for another distributor who could supply brushes to us on time and give us the priority.”
Both Cali and I were like ‘huh? has he gone bonkers?‘ Where did MAC come from in this conversation? And how is he even comparing MAC to Colorbar? I mean you should be selling your brand dude than getting bothered about what MAC is doing. How Dumb!
Finally we bought nothing from there after this irritating experience.
Talking about Colorbar brushes, the handle of my favorite colorbar brush has also started to crack.
And no I don’t think Colorbar and MAC buy brushes from the same place. There is a huge difference in the quality.
Anyway, Cali sooooooo wanted to have an ice cream. So we headed to the food court . We had chocolate fudge + vanilla choc chips ice cream. Yum!!
Overall it was a nice pleasing day. Cali is one of those people I would love to meet again and again. :))

the quality of Mac brushes is really good starting from bristles to handles. Nothing happens to them . Infact after Mac ,it’s Sigma I am liking the most.
I don’t know why he was telling all this . The only question we asked was whether they have a foundation brush or not.

It’s better than MAC Carbon. More pigmented and buttery. 😛
I never thought I would hear the words eyeshadow and buttery in the same sentence 😛 but that is berrry ujhful informason as I am going to go straight to get me an INGLOT palette instead of bothering with MAC for e/s .
I bought that 15 pan mac eye shadow palette and now I want only and only inglot. 😛 😛 😛
They are sasta, sunder and tikaoo. There is a little bit of fall out for the darker colours but once you see the colours on your lids you forget everything else. 🙂

Oh nothing very woww…and am still tweeeeeeeaking kinds..but I am very very particular what I would use on my face. Get pimples with just about anything, face wash gels even, and they leave these horrids marks. Right now using Olay ka cleanser (not particular about that one) and then a kama ayurveda face cleanser powder kinds after that. Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 and Lancome Neurocalm moisturizer (only because I ran out of my must-have Shiseido moisturizer). Thats it..and an occasional Himalaya face mask.
Your skin sounds just like mine :-(( :-(( :-(( :-(( :-(( you know I wish I had known more about like face washes n stuff when I was in my teens – no one told me that products make you break out – now I know I can tell how my face reacts to new stuff but I wish someone had told me pehle only – would have saved me alot of trouble ….
