Michael Todd Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Anti-Aging Toner Review

Hi friends,

I had always debated if my skin would benefit from using a toner. As I have very dry skin, I was apprehensive that the toner might dry my skin further. However, after reading numerous articles on IMBB, which mention how toner is helpful in balancing skin’s pH, I finally took the plunge. The fact that MTTO Cranberry Antiox claims that it is a hydrating toner made it a natural choice.

The toner comes in a purple-colored bottle with the lavender hued cap. The toner also has a plastic lid with a tiny hole to regulate the amount of toner. The toner is completely colorless and looks like water. It has mild fruity and tea tree oil fragrance,as these are the major constituents of the toner.

My Experience with Michael Todd Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Anti-Aging Toner:

I use the toner after I have used a face wash to clean my face. I usually take the toner on a cotton wool and then swipe it on my face. When I apply the toner on the skin, it feels very cool and refreshing. The toner due to its watery texture spreads easily on the face. When I put this toner on my face, I do not feel that I have applied any product. I find that any traces of mascara or kajal residue left on my skin, usually come out when I use the toner. After using the toner, my skin feels very fresh and clean.

Before using this product, I was concerned about my skin becoming very dry after toner. Thankfully, this did not happen. My skin felt the same as it feels after washing my face. The primary reason to pick this toner was its claim of providing hydration to skin. The aloe juice and glycerin present in toner did save my skin from becoming super dry.

The toner contains cranberries which are crammed with antioxidants and vitamins to help fight anti aging. It did not make my skin very glowy but helped in making my skin pores even. The tea tree oil present in toner helps in providing anti-bacterial benefits. The toner provided a thorough cleaning of my face.

After using the toner, I apply serum and moisturizer on my face. The toner did not react with any creams that I use afterwards.  This toner contains mild fruity and tea tree fragrance, which fades away immediately.

Though this toner can be used twice a day, I am currently using it once a day in the evening time. I think this toner should help oily skin a lot. The product claims to be alcohol free, but I did see one of the ingredients mentioned as Michael Todd Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Anti-Aging Toner
“phenoxyethanol,” which makes me iffy.

Pros of Michael Todd Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Anti-Aging Toner:

  • Gentle toner, which removes any makeup or dirt residue left after using face wash.
  • Skin feels very cool and refreshing after using the toner.
  • Provides a thorough cleaning of the face effectively.
  • Aloe juice and glycerin present in toner help in providing mild hydration.
  • Presence of tea tree oil provides anti-bacterial benefits.
  • Mild fruity and tea tree oil fragrance, which fades away immediately from skin.
  • The toner does not hamper with the effectiveness of any serum or cream applied on face afterwards.
  • Would be beneficial for oily skin.

Cons of Michael Todd Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Anti-Aging Toner:

  • Did not notice substantial difference on skin from the presence of vitamins and antioxidants present in the toner.
  • Product claims to be alcohol free, however, contains phenoxyethanol as an ingredient.
  • Pricey (however the amount is going to last for significant time period).

IMBB Rating:

3/5

Would I Repurchase Michael Todd Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Anti-Aging Toner?

I had bought this toner to see how beneficial it would be for my skin. So far this product has been okay on my skin without any noteworthy change.  Hence I would not buy this product again. Yet if you have oily skin and are looking for a toner, then you could try it.

  1. This is quite expensive and thus, I would skip this as it did not bring about any miraculous change. But your review is really well-written, Alaka 🙂

  2. I have tried out their charcoal detox face wash and I was pretty happy with it. My skin is super sensitive and breaks out with any new product I use but that suited me well. The only issue is that MT products are expensive and not that easily available.
