Michael Todd True Organics Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner Review

Along with the MTTO’s Cranberry Antiox Hydrating Toner, I had also bought the Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner, which I am reviewing here today. As this toner was mentioned to possess anti-bacterial benefits, I was really looking forward to try it.

Packaging:
The toner comes in MTTO’s standard packaging of purple-colored bottle with the lavender-hued cap. The bottle has a plastic keyhole to regulate the amount of liquid that comes out. Similar to MTTO’s cranberry antiox, this toner is also completely colorless and of watery consistency. The fragrance has a mild lavender and herbal aroma.

My Experience with Michael Todd True Organics Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner:

I use this toner after I have used face wash to cleanse my face. The toner feels very soothing and pleasant on the skin. The toner does help to provide additional cleaning. If there are any traces of makeup that are left behind, then the toner wipes it clean.

I usually need a few drops of the toner on my cotton wool to completely swipe on my face. The toner helps to make my skin feel very fresh and clean. The toner is recommended to use twice a day, but I have been using this toner primarily in my night-time routine.  The toner provided a thorough cleaning of my face.

The toner contains blue green algae for providing antioxidant and vitamin benefits to the skin. The toner does not provide all the anti-aging solution required.  However, the advantage I did find while using this toner was that my skin pores were even. The toner also provides anti-bacterial benefits as it contains tea tree oil. So, if I have any bumps appearing on the skin, the toner act as a good protective measure.

The toner is alcohol free hence it does not dry out my skin and balances the pH level. The product claims that it is highly moisturizing. I would not vouch that it is very hydrating for my dry skin like a face cream. However, I did not find my skin feel super stretchy. The aloe juice, glycerin and hyaluronic acid present in toner provided hydration to my skin.

The toner has faint herbal and lavender fragrance. The fragrance of the toner fades away almost immediately after application. Also, the toner does not hinder with any subsequent serum and moisturizer application on my face. The toner has been a good product to use during the summers.

The product claims to be suitable for all skin types. The product contains phenoxyethanol even though it is said to be alcohol free. The product also claims to infuse pores with minerals, which I did not see happening on my skin. Also, I did not notice the toner to help in providing any significant help in removing blemishes as claimed.

Pros of Michael Todd True Organics Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner:

• Good toner, which feels very soothing and refreshing on the skin.
• Removes any makeup or dirt residue even after using face wash.
• Aloe vera juice, glycerin and hyaluronic acid in the toner helps in providing mild hydration.
• Presence of tea tree oil provides anti-bacterial benefits.
• Need only a few drops of the toner to completely swipe on the face.
• Contains blue green algae for providing antioxidant and vitamin benefits to the skin.
• Toner does not dry out skin and makes facial pores even.
• Faint herbal and lavender fragrance, which fades away almost immediately after application.
• Does not hinder with any subsequent serum and moisturizer application on the face.
• Suitable for all skin types.

Cons of Michael Todd True Organics Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner:

• Contains phenoxyethanolas an ingredient even though it is an alcohol-free product.
• Pricey.
• Did not notice any benefit of the product’s claims of infusing pores with minerals.
• Did not notice any significant help in removing blemishes as claimed.

No, I am not buying this product again. Instead, I am thinking of using natural products as toners.
