I think by now all the readers know how obsessed I am with lipsticks especially liquid lipsticks. Even though I have 345633823 red lipsticks, I can never stop buying because the heart wants what it wants. LOL! I grabbed a few things from Milani and I came across the Amore Matte Lip Crème range. Milani had released them last year for a limited time but the new collection is permanent. Since I wanted to give this a try, I picked up the shade Devotion which is a deep red shade (obviously). Read on to know how this lip crème worked for me.

My Thoughts on Milani Amore Matte Lip Crème – Devotion:
The first time Milani released these, these lipsticks became a rage and were quite good (texture and formulation wise). This time the formulation is a little different but not too much. They have made it a little thicker but the lipstick doesn’t feel thick once it dries down.
Packaging: This lip crème comes in a rectangular tube which is made with glass and you can see the colour clearly. The cap is golden coloured which makes it look like some high end liquid lipstick. I adore this packaging. The applicator is quite comfortable to use as it has flat sides
Pigmentation: This deep red shade is quite pigmented. I like how smooth it applies all over the lips and you don’t really have to keep taking too much colour from the tube again and again. One swipe and you are done! If you want a deeper colour, you can go over the first layer but make sure you go over it once it dries down after 5 to 10 seconds. It can get a little thick if you apply it while it is still drying down. Also, it will get on your teeth and it is difficult to remove it from there. If you rub it while it is wet, it will just spread inside your mouth (personal experience 😛 ); just let it dry and then take it off.
Texture: The texture is similar to the NYX lip creams which I absolutely love. This lip crème feels a little thick but I have no complaints. This lip crème does settle into lines, so exfoliate before you use it but this does not feel too dry on the lips. I did not use any lip balm and it doesn’t feel over-the-top drying on my lips at all which is a plus! Also, it is transfer proof and will not move at all even if you eat or drink. It does get a little crusty on the inside part of your mouth (lower lip inside portion) if you have oily food but other than that, it doesn’t come off. Oh and it smells like cupcakes or cake batter which I love!
You need to use oil to remove this; I would suggest everyone to use olive oil to take it off completely from the lips. A regular makeup remover will not work for this lipstick. I don’t have complains with this lip crème at all but I just wish it wasn’t so thick because applying a second layer can be a little tricky and annoying. I am pretty happy with this lip crème and I will surely pick up more colours soon.

• Can get crusty if you eat oily food.
• Difficult to remove.
• A little expensive for drugstore prices (plus we got to pay shipping charges).
