I have been looking at the Milani range of products at my local supermarket and was itching to try them as I have heard a lot of good things about it. The brand launched the color statement moisture matte range of lipsticks a short while back and this range has 8 shades and I would be reviewing the Matte Orchid today.

The lipstick comes in a golden case with a golden cap and the bottom of the bullet is see through plastic which makes it easier to identify the shade. The case being mirror-like gold finish takes a lot of fingerprints and marks, at the drop of a hat but it looks great and in no way gives a cheap feel.

My experience with Milani Color Statement Orchid Moisture Matte Lipstick :

I am very impressed by the quality of the products from Milani including the lip products, eye products as well as face products. The products are well priced for the quality and quantity in all aspects. I picked this one online as this shade was not available at the store counter, the other seven shades are equally beautiful and I am also looking for Matte Confident next.

This shade is a blue-based pink and it is an intense color, being a matte not a dry matte though, but matte indeed. I was expecting the shade to be more of a fuchsia but it turned out to be a very blue-based one. I didn’t have the opportunity to see this shade in person as it was out of stock in stores but I am okay with it because I do not own any other shade of a similar kind.

The lipstick wears very well without settling into lip lines and goes into a creamy matte texture. The bullet has no smell to it and that is a good thing as I don’t like my lip products with any kind of smell. The longevity is from 5-6 hours before fading uniformly and remaining as a stain, till it’s wiped with a remover. The pigmentation is 100% in a single swipe, so I do not layer it as it does cause a bit of feathering when swiped multiple times.
