Every now and then, you stumble across a gem in drugstore makeup choices and when that happens, don’t you just wish that you could tell each and everyone about it (shout from the rooftops :P). Well, for me, this product has me feeling the exact same way that I cannot stop raving about it. This review will be on the Milani Conceal + Perfect 2 in 1 foundation and concealer in the shade “04 Medium Beige.”

My Experience with Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-In-1 Foundation + Concealer:

Packaging: This foundation comes in a sleek bottle with a pump. The bottle is glass so you have to be careful if you travel with it.

Texture, Consistency and Blendability: This is a thick creamy foundation, but even with the thickness, I found it easy to blend. I prefer using my Beauty Blender to blend this out and this “perfect for each other” match give me flawless canvas every single time without fail.

Coverage: I am the most surprised with the amount of coverage this foundation gives. Make no mistake, this is a full-coverage foundation and the claims of it also being able to act as a concealer is not to be taken lightly. During the last few months, my skin took a toll for the worse when I had an adverse reaction to a new skin care item I added to my regime (thankfully, my skin is mostly healed now), which is when lightweight BB and CC creams just weren’t doing it for me, which is when I bought this foundation and it has not failed me since. It will hide everything, and I mean everything from your worst discoloration to acne.

Even with this high coverage, it feels quite light (not mask like) on the skin, but since it is such a heavy-coverage foundation, using no more than one layer will make it look best. My skin does not feel like its suffocating and one pump is all I need for a full face. This would be a great party wear foundation as it does not give any flashback in flash photography.

Finish: The finish of this foundation is very skin like, soft demi matte with a hint of satiny sheen to not make it look flat.

Shade: The shade “04 Medium Beige” is a perfect match for my MAC NW23-25 skin tone. I don’t find it to be too yellow or too pink; the balance is just right.

Feel and look on skin: On my dry skin, I don’t feel the need to set it with powder but oily skin might need to use a slight amount of powder. I love how it looks on my skin; it does not highlight my pores (I don’t have an issue with huge pores to begin with) or dry patches. It does not feel too greasy or tacky on my skin.

Staying Power: I am equally impressed with the amazing staying power of this foundation. It claims to be sweat proof and long wearing which I have found to be true. I have worn this in boiling hot Texas summer for over 8-9 hours and I have never had an issue with it fading or looking patchy. I sometimes will need to do blotting as it develops shine on my oily area if I am mostly outdoors, but when I have worn this only indoors, I have not found the need to do any touch up.

Fragrance: It has a moderately strong sweet scent which I like. It is not overpowering or bothersome but if you are sensitive to smells, you might find this trait to be less likable.

Overall, I am truly impressed with this foundation which gives you the best, both in terms of performance and affordable price tag. I would highly recommend you to check this out on your next trip to the drugstore.
