My Experience with Milani Covet Amore Matte Lip Creme:
Milani is one good drugstore brand which provides excellent products at affordable prices. When they introduced their version of liquid lipstick, I was excited to try them out.
Packaging: The packaging is a good rectangular clear tube with holographic writing in gold says Amore Matte Lip Crème on one side and Milani on the other side. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Covet.” The tube has a gold cap. The applicator is a double-sided plush applicator which is easy to use.
Texture and Application: The texture of this liquid lipstick is mousse-y and liquid-y. It dries to a completely matte finish within a minute. Unlike a few other liquid lipsticks, this allows us to rectify any error since it doesn’t dry down within seconds. The applicator makes it easy to fill in the corners of the lips with ease. They have a strong vanilla frosting fragrance, which I love, but if you have a problem with fragrance then please keep it in mind. Once the liquid lipstick dries, it has a powdery feel to it. It is smudge proof and stays all day. Since it’s a liquid lipstick, they do seep into the fine lines of the lips so do exfoliate your lips before wearing these for that flawless look.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives a full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.
Shade and Finish: The shade is described as a “vampy brown” on the website and it is a rich chocolate brown shade. It will complement multiple skin tones. The lipstick will dry completely matte. They are very comfortable to wear. “Covet” is a good dupe for Kylie Jenner liquid lipstick in the shade “True Brown K.” It is a good shade to wear during the fall season.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 8 hours without the need to reapply if I don’t eat oily meals. They don’t flake or crack. If you tend to rub your lips quite often, then they will flake off easily. It will start fading from the centre of the lips if you tend to eat oily meals.
Overall, I am really happy with the colour pay off and the staying power. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
