I’m reviewing a green eyeliner today. Like most of you who read my reviews know, I have brown eyes and so I’m a little picky when it comes to colored eye liners. And, every now and then I’m on the hunt for colored eye liners that would look good on me. One of my most recent purchases is the Milani Eternal Infinite Liquid Eye Liner which is a warm toned green eye liner. Read on to know how it fared for me.
There’s longwear and then there’s mega longwear. Like 24 hours longwear. So tenacious we call it “semi-permanent,” this waterproof (smudge- and smear-proof, too!) liner lays down immediate, vibrant color that stays true over time. Available in three finishes – matte, metallic, shimmer – this is the one to rock for round-the-clock drama and definition.
$7.99. I bought it for INR 450.
My Experience with Milani Eternal Infinite Liquid Eye Liner:
Packaging: It comes in a very usual eye liner packaging. The bottle/tube is transparent, but is filled with the product so appears green. It has a gold brush handle. The applicator brush is surprisingly the thinnest I have ever seen. It is just perfect for controlling the thickness of the eye liner.
Shade: Eternal is a shimmery gold, warm toned green color. It looked very beautiful at the store where I bought it from, but I didn’t really swatch the shade because there were no testers available. When I came home and swatched it on my hand, I found out that the shade in the tube matched the shade in the swatch perfectly.
It is an opaque eye liner, in my opinion, that will suit all Indian skin tones. The only word that comes to my mind when I describe this shade is ‘vivid’. It is very bright and pretty green. It may look muted in the swatch, but actually, it is not. It suits my eye color really well.
Texture: These eye liners are not exactly smooth in texture. In fact, these are not at all smooth if compared to other eye liners. This eye liner does take up a whole lot of effort to apply on the eye lids. The application can be a bit streaky and flaky because of such a rough texture (as you can also see in the swatch). It also feels a little harsh and heavy on the eye lids.
This eye liner definitely stands up to its claim of being a long wear eye liner. The other day I wore it for around 9-10 hours and when I was removing it, it took a great deal of effort to do so and even after that there was some of the eye liner still stuck on my eye lids.
Pros of Milani Eternal Infinite Liquid Eye Liner:
• An affordable eye liner.
• Beautiful, vibrant shade of green.
• Contains shimmer, but does not look too dramatic.
• Glossy eye liner.
• Stays on for a really long time. I’m sure it’ll stay put even after 24 hours.
• Sturdy and travel friendly packaging.
Cons of Milani Eternal Infinite Liquid Eye Liner:
• I don’t like the texture of this eye liner at all. It takes a lot of effort to apply it.
• Feels heavy and harsh on the eye lids.
• Removing this eye liner is also a task. It takes forever to remove it, even with a makeup remover. It just doesn’t budge that easily.
• People who prefer matte eye liners can skip it.
2/5 (only for the vivid green color)
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Milani Eternal Infinite Liquid Eye Liner?
No and no.
It is a very beautiful green eye liner, but the texture is pathetic. And, although I do like long stay eye liners, this ‘infinite stay’ eye liner just doesn’t cut it for me. It is a pain to take off this eye liner from the eyelids. Disappointed!
