Milani Eye Shadow – Garden Mist

Milani Eye Shadow – Garden Mist

So I was walking around CVS looking at all the make-up products. I have never used the brand Milani before so I was observing there products, and this particular eye shadow caught my attention; maybe because it looked so green, and bright. And just like the eye shadow I reviewed last, I bought this but never used it until now.

Product Description:

Intensely pigmented eye shadows that leave an incredible deposit of color on lids. Glides on silky-smooth, blends effortlessly and resists fading and creasing.

Price:

I bought it for $3.99 at that time.

My Take on Milani Eye Shadow – Garden Mist:

When you first look at this eye shadow it looks very pretty. The color is so bright and shimmery. The green is absolutely beautiful. The texture is very silky. It has the right amount of lime undertones to it so it doesn’t look neon green. The gold shimmer adds the perfects oomph factor to it. The color really accentuates the eye. This shadow is very smooth and easy to apply.

But, I did have to layer it a few times to get the color on my eyes since the shadow is very sheer and powdery. And since I’m a little dusky the color looked a bit cakey because I had to layer it a lot. I did notice some fall out while blending. The staying power is okay, it stayed on for about 2-3 hours then the color starts getting dull. The vibrant green starts turning dark (I don’t know how. It’s weird). The shadow started creasing after an hour. This eye shadow doesn’t stay put without a primer, even the color doesn’t show up right without a primer.

Overall:

It’s a very pretty green. It’s shimmery, but not over the top, it has the right amount of gold shimmer. It has the perfect amount of lime undertones. It’s not bad. But it does crease and has a slight fall out problem. If you look at my EOTD carefully you will see the color has fallen on my lashes. And when I apply mascara the color transfers on to my mascara wand. That must have been a very unfortunate day since I decided to use colossal mascara. What was I thinking? That horrible mascara did nothing but make my lashes look worse than they already were. That mascara is way overhyped.

I don’t know. Maybe I won’t. Green isn’t really my color, this will probably last me forever.
