Milani Power Pink Color Statement Lipstick Review

Milani Color Statement lipstick range is a nice affordable collection of lipsticks which has been around for some time now. This range has more than 30 shades and quite a few shades have been already on IMBB (Flamingo Pose, Uptown Mauve, Matte Iconic, Orchid Moisture). Today, I am reviewing the shade “Power Pink.” Read on to find out more about this shade.

My Experience with Milani Power Pink Color Statement Lipstick:

Packaging: This lipstick comes in a beautiful gold packaging with a band at the bottom matching the color of the lipstick. The cap shuts tight and there is no danger of the cap coming off loose even if you toss it around in your bag. Even though the packaging is quite simple, it looks classy and doesn’t feel flimsy at all.

Shade: “Power Pink” is a gorgeous orchid pink shade. This shade is slightly blue toned but will still look good on Indian skin tones. It is a fresh flirty shade which instantly brightens up the face.  The pigmentation of the lipstick is quite decent. One swipe is enough to get a lovely opaque finish. Multiple swipes does not make the application patchy.

Texture/Finish/Pigmentation:  The texture of the lipstick is quite creamy and it applies smoothly with no tugs at all. The good part is that it is not overtly creamy and does not bleed or migrate.

It feels very comfortable and lightweight on the lips. It does not dry out the lips at all and feels quite moisturizing. It does not settle into lip lines or highlight any dry patches. I am sure even those with dry lips will enjoy this formula.

The lipstick has a gorgeous satin finish with a slight sheen. For a crème formula, the lipstick has a decent staying power. It does transfer but still manages to stay out for around 5 hours with light meals. It leaves a slight stain behind.

This particular shade has a mild vanilla fragrance which is actually much better than the melon fragrance that some shades from this range have.

I would surely recommend you to try out this lipstick if you like pink lipsticks.  I will not repurchase the exact same shade, but I do possess other shades from this range.
