Milani Prime Perfection Hydrating + Pore-Minimizing Face Primer Review

Skin Type- Oily and sensitive
Skin Tone- Wheatish golden

Hey guys,

So, I recently picked up a few products from Milani. This is one of the best drugstore brands available and they have come out with a lot of new products recently. Most of the new items look quite tempting but not all of them are as good. I grabbed this hydrating and pore-minimizing primer, read on to know if it was a hit or a miss 😛

Milani Prime Perfection Hydrating + Pore-Minimizing Face Primer

Price:
$10 (excluding shipping charges).

Product Description:
Add radiance and a healthy-looking glow to your complexion while softening the look of fine lines, large pores and flaws. Prime Perfection Hydrating + Pore-Minimizing Face Primer blends invisibly and maintain the skin’s moisture balance, resulting in an illuminating and flawless finish.

My Take on Milani Prime Perfection Hydrating + Pore-Minimizing Face Primer:

Texture: The texture feels like a basic cream. It is not too thick or too runny.  It is a little on the thin side but I like the texture of this cream.

Packaging: The packaging is a basic squeeze tube and for the money you pay, the primer quantity is quite less, which is pretty bad.

Primer open tube

I love hydrating primers as they can bring a certain glow to your face. This primer does hydrate well and works kind of like a moisturizer. Make sure you shake the tube before you apply because I think this is a water-based primer.

When I first opened, it was extremely runny, but then I used it again post shaking the tube, and it was just fine. The primer made my foundation last for 6 hours which is pretty good and it made my skin look a little dewy. The bad part is that it does nothing to the pores. It will not minimize any pores or hide any other imperfections. You can use this primer in combination with a pore-minimizing product that actually works. But if you want to hide pores, this is not for you.

Packaging

I don’t have extremely large or visible pores, so I was okay with it, but I wouldn’t recommend this to someone who wants to hide pores. If you want something that hydrates your skin and gives you a semi-dewy finish, then this product is great. It is not a sticky or tacky primer, it sinks into the skin nicely and you don’t feel greasy at all. Also, a small amount works for the entire face and neck too, plus it did not clog my pores or break me out. I have used this a few times and I have a love-hate relationship with this primer.
