“Milani Color Statement” range is a nice affordable range of lipsticks which has been around for some time now. This range has more than 30 shades and quite a few shades have been already on IMBB (Sangria, Rose Amour, Raspberry Rush, etc). Today, I am reviewing the shade “Rose Hip.” Read on to find out more about this shade.

My Experience with Milani Rose Hip Color Statement Lipstick:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a beautiful gold packaging with a band at the bottom matching the color of the lipstick. The cap shuts tight and there is no danger of the cap coming off loose even if you toss it around in your bag. Even though the packaging is quite simple, it looks classy and doesn’t feel flimsy at all.
Shade: “Rose Hip” is a beautiful fuchsia pink shade. It is a vibrant shade which instantly brightens up the face. This shade is slightly cool toned and hence will look good on fairer skin tones.
The pigmentation of the lipstick is quite strong. One swipe is enough to get a lovely opaque finish. Multiple swipes does not make the application patchy.
Texture/Finish/Pigmentation: The texture of the lipstick is quite creamy and it applies smoothly with no tugs at all. I find this lipstick to be a tad overtly creamy and you do need to be careful in the application as there is a bit of a slip. I would recommend using a lip liner to prevent the lipstick from migrating.
The lipstick feels very comfortable and lightweight on the lips. It does not dry out the lips at all and feels quite moisturizing. It does not settle into lip lines or highlight any dry patches. I am sure even those with dry lips will enjoy this formula.
The lipstick has a gorgeous satin finish with a slight sheen. The lipstick does transfer and the staying power is not all that great; the lipstick stays on me for around 4 hours depending upon what I am eating. This is expected from a lipstick that is this creamy.
This particular shade has a watermelon fragrance which I personally do not like. But the good part is that it does not stay for too long.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Milani Rose Hip Color Statement Lipstick?
The formula of this lipstick is pretty good for 6 dollars. I would surely recommend you to try it out if you like the shade. I will not repurchase the exact same shade but do possess other shades from this range.
