Mirenesse is a famous Australian beauty brand, which is found at Sephora. It is a unique brand because, they are clinically tested and are organic and free from nasties like Mineral oil, SLS, Parabens, Alcohol, Sulphates and Petroleum. This brand is a little well known because, they don’t waste their money on extensive PR or BeautyGuru sponsorships, instead they concentrate on the quality of products and also spend a part of their income on charity. I was really impressed with their attitude and when I did some research, I found that they have only positive and satisfying reviews which is just great. So recently, I picked up some liquid lipsticks from this brand and today, I am going to review “Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge” in the shade “London”. So, let’s get started.

My Experience with Mirenesse mattfinity Lip Rouge London:

Packaging: These lip rouges are packaged in a cute transparent tube just like a lip gloss. The tube has a black cap with a silver spelling out the shade name, which is unique. The lower half of the tube is transparent and has a black shadow design. This makes the shade identification easier. The packaging is simple and pretty. The applicators have a “Lip Hug“ effect; they sit comfortably on the lips by perfectly clinging on them, thus delivering an even and continuous application.

Shades: It comes in a range of ten shades that are all named after famous cities from around the world and I love it when lipsticks are named after places. The shade range is basic and neat comprising of nudes, neutrals, pinks and reds. ”London“ is a beautiful berry pink shade with a hint of red. It is a gorgeous color and it brightens up the complexion in a jiffy.

Formula: The lipsticks have a soft, mousse-like consistency just like a lip cream. It applies very well and it starts to feel like a satin lipstick, and then eventually dries into a semi-matte plush velvet finish.

The texture is smooth, and it feels very comfortable and lightweight on the lips. These are incredibly pigmented and a thin layer on the lips will give you opaque, pigmented colour which feels like a dream. I used them without lining my lips with a lip liner and there was no feathering or bleeding, even after eating.

Fragrance: This does have a fruity artificial scent to it which I don’t mind, but it may be bothersome for people with sensitive nose. These are made with organic beeswax and vitamin E and thus unlike most matte lipsticks, this one doesn’t make the lips feel dry at all and they actually hydrate and you don’t feel like there is anything on your lips.

Longevity: They have an amazing staying power. They stay put the entire day and it is almost transfer-proof. I noticed only minimal transfer even after eating. They fade a bit with oily foods, but nothing ridiculous. They also leave a beautiful stain on the lips.

I’ve tried a lot of different lip products from various brands, but this is by far one of the best that I’ve given a go. It stays put for a long time, it looks fantastic, the color payoff is great and it is organic, which makes it a delight to wear.
