Hello all,

My Experience with Missha Black Ghassoul Tightening Mask:

Packaging:  The mask comes in a simple black and white plastic tub packaging. The packaging is simple yet effective. The screw on cap shuts tight and there is no danger of the product leaking out. There is a plastic spatula to scoop out the mask.

Texture:  The main ingredient in this mask is Ghassoul, which is Moroccan black lava clay and it has that thick creamy consistency like other clay masks. I actually found it to be too thick, but it is malleable and spreads easily on your skin. I apply this mask after washing my face with water. There is a slightly cool tingly sensation when I first put it on, but it goes away pretty soon. As directed, I keep it on for 10-15 minutes and finally rinse it off. It is a bit difficult to get off and you do need a lot of water to completely wash it off.

The mask has no fragrance and this will be a plus for those who do not like any fragrances in their cosmetics.

Performance: I have combination skin – my T-zone is quite oily and the rest of my face is normal. And so, in general, clay masks work for me to take care of the excess oil on my T-zone. This mask also lives up to its promises. It leaves my skin clean and refreshed. It takes care of the oil pretty well, but I did not really see any visible effect on my pores. Also, this mask will be suitable to only those with oily skin. It feels drying on my cheeks and hence I would suggest all normal or dry-skinned beauties to keep away from the mask.

Pros of Missha Black Ghassoul Tightening Mask:

  • Cleans the skin pretty well.
  • Controls oil.
  • Spreads easily on the skin.
  • Free of paraben, talc, mineral oil, and fragrance.
  • Quite affordable.
  • A little goes a long way.

Cons of Missha Black Ghassoul Tightening Mask:

  • Will be suitable only for oil-skinned beauties as it is quite drying.

IMBB Rating:
4/5

Would I Repurchase Missha Black Ghassoul Tightening Mask?
I would totally recommend this mask to oily-skinned beauties to take care of their sebum problems. This tub will take me a while to finish. I will not repurchase as I would like to try some newer products.

  1. I don’t know why but I somehow really like black colour masks 🙂
But, I have a combination skin, so I wonder if it would dry my skin :/
