Beauty influencers all around the globe are going ga-ga over K-beauty and makeup products. One of the products which have garnered a lot of attention are cushion foundations. So, when I got to choose a product to review for IMBB under the “sponsored scheme,” I decided to get one to know what the fuss is all about, so big thanks to IMBB for my first cushion foundation 🙂 Missha peeling gel worked great for me, so I decided to give a shot to this M Magic Cushion. My Experience with Missha M Magic Cushion SPF 50+/PA+++:
Packaging: Stunning! Captivating! It comes in a beautiful pristine white tub with a silver rim, classy and so elegant. The tub is lightweight and has the Missha logo. Basic product details are written on the back. The lid has a reflective surface (not a mirror) It has another compartment which holds the puff and houses the cushion. The cushion has a seal which has to be peeled off before first use. The entire tub comes enclosed in a white cardboard box. It is travel friendly and great for makeup on-the-go. Another good thing is that product details are written both in Korean and English.
The product is supposedly a BB cushion, but the coverage it gives! Oh my! It easily surpasses many drugstore foundations I have used. The cushion has a thin liquid-y foundation/BB cream stored which comes out easily on slightly pressing the sponge puff against the cushion. It has a thin consistency, which I thought would provide sheer coverage, but I was so wrong!
It goes easily on moisturized skin. Without a moisturizer, you might have a bit of trouble of blending it. But on moisturized skin, it is smooth and easy to apply. I dab it on my problem areas, mainly chin and cheeks and evenly blend it out with the puff itself. No blender or brush needed. It gives medium coverage and can be easily built up to cover acne scars, pigmentation and any other mark. With the slightest of this foundation/BB cream, you can hide redness or light scars. It gives smooth, flawless skin.
I use “shade 23” which more or less matches my skin tone. There are three other shades – namely #21 Light Beige, #27 Honey Beige and #31 Golden Beige. While everyone might not have an exact match, it has broad coverage which can suit your skin and can be sheered out and set with powder.
This cushion makeup gives such a natural, luminous finish to my skin. My skin looks and feels so beautiful, I am not exaggerating a bit. The finish might be slightly dewy if you have oily skin and you may like to dust some setting powder. On extremely hot and humid days, I apply powder on top, otherwise I like the radiance this gives me. It stays in place for 7 hours easily, no primer underneath. Touch ups are easy, with this cute cushion fitting easily in sling bags too. It also has SPF 50, which is like a superb sun protection.
Totally love using this and can’t stop raving about it. Check my photo wearing this in natural light and see how it hides imperfections and blends with my skin.
