Today’s review is about Missha Natural Soft Jelly Cleansing Puff Charcoal. I had read so many reviews of Cleansing Puffs from different brands on IMBB that I wanted to try one too. So, I purchased this one from Missha. Read on to know how it faired for me.

Product Description:
Use this pure botanical jelly cleansing puff when washing face.
The puff is gentle and has a massaging effect.
Bamboo charcoal helps absorb sebum for a full deep cleansing effect.
It clears pores and removes dead skin cells.

It is suitable for oily and troubled skin types.
How to use:
Wet cleansing puff.
Apply cleanser on skin or directly on puff.
Use soft jelly cleansing puff by lightly massaging skin in a circular motion.
After use, squeeze out the water from the puff and dry it in airy, dry place.

Natural Botanical Konjac 90%, Bamboo Charcoal 10%
My Experience with Missha Natural Soft Jelly Cleansing Puff Charcoal:
It comes in a sealed plastic sachet packaging with visible water droplets to keep the puff moist. As soon as you open the sachet, you will find a gray colored round sponge which looks so much like an idli. 😉 The texture and feel reminded me of idli just that the sponge is gray. It’s very squishy, slightly sticky and gentle with no fragrance. It comes with a string attached to it, which allows you to hang it on the wall after the use. It’s very light when dry and can be used during travel (if dried).
These Konjac sponges originated in Japan and are totally organic as they are made out of konjac roots. Once you start using the product, it feels more like a sponge and nothing more or less.
I washed it well after removing it from the packaging. I squeezed out most of the liquid in which it was packed. I wet my face and then applied face wash and then rubbed it with the puff all over. Then rinsed the face with warm water and also washed the puff with cold water. I felt the texture of the sponge might alter if washed using warm water.
My face felt clean but the results were nothing different than washing without it. At least, I could not see any major difference by using the puff. I feel one can use it instead of fingers and nothing more.
I have to mention that I used quite a bit of water to clean the puff to my satisfaction. I would not be able to sleep if I didn’t get all the face wash out of the puff. So, I kept washing it and squeezing it under running water. It took a good 2 minutes.
I hang it to dry but it does take some time to completely dry. I am not sure if it’s hygienic to let the product stay dry for so long. I am not so convinced and feel hygienic to use this product. I have stopped using it as I did not see any appreciable changes.
Pros of Missha Natural Soft Jelly Cleansing Puff Charcoal:
• Not expensive
• Completely natural ingredients
• Easy to use
Cons of Missha Natural Soft Jelly Cleansing Puff Charcoal:
• No noticeable difference before and after use
• Takes time to dry and hence not hygienic to use on regular basis
• Have to be replaced every 2 or 3 months
• Not so travel-friendly since it takes time to dry
• Requires a lot of water to get rid of all the foam from the face wash

I would not recommend puff from this brand since it’s not so impressive in results.
