My Experience with Missha Pure Source Shea Butter Cell Sheet Mask:

Missha Pure Source Shea Butter Cell Sheet Mask Review1

Missha Pure Source Shea Butter Cell Sheet Mask comes in a boring packaging. It has a similar packaging to Innisfree sheet masks. It is a white coloured packaging with the main ingredient picture on the front. I picked up several variants from the Pure Source range. The back has all the details in English and in Korean (I think so). The packaging is basic and fuss-free. It is very thin and safe to travel with.

The sheet mask is a thin cotton mask, which is white in colour. The face mask comes soaked in a liquid serum. The serum is slightly thick and sticky. However, the face mask isn’t soaking wet but has a good amount of moisture to it. The mask is big, and hence, I have to make slits for it to fit well on the face.

Shea butter is known for its moisturising and nourishing properties. I was looking for something that will deeply moisturise my skin. It helps in adding a lot of moisture back into the skin and hydrates the skin well. I wanted to use such masks that moisturise my skin well because I had dry patches, which I wanted to cure. Thus, this sheet mask is great for people with dry skin.

I have been using these masks every 3 days or twice a week because I find it very relaxing and the easiest way to pamper my skin. I wash my face with a face wash and then, use this mask for 30 minutes or until it is semi dry. Then, I take it off and pat the excess serum on my skin and let it be for another 15 minutes. Then after, I wash my face with plain water, no face wash. Then, I apply my night cream and doze off to sleep. Sometimes, I use a toner or aloe vera gel before using the mask. I always keep the mask in my freezer for at least 15 minutes before applying, because there’s nothing better than a cooling face mask after a tiring day of work and travel.

This sheet mask has a pleasant fragrance that doesn’t last longer. There is no irritation when I have this mask on the skin, and it doesn’t fall off from the face as the mask dries. It did not break me out.

These sheet masks give temporary results, but that’s okay because I like using face masks often, anyway. My skin feels instantly refreshed and moisturised. I’ve been using these sheet masks regularly since a long time and, I feel it has helped me in tackling the dryness. Usually, when I use a scrub or face wash, I had to apply a lotion, but now, I can skip the lotion and, my skin still doesn’t feel parched. So, yay to that!
