Miu Miu Eau de Parfum Review

By Divya Menon

Hello beauties,

I always like to smell good even when I am on the go. And what’s better than this rollerball perfume by Miu Miu! I have adored their bags and accessories, and this is the first time I’ve tried their perfume. Read on to find out if it is as good as their other products.

Price: $28 for .33 oz (10 ml)
Product Description:
Miu Miu Eau de Parfum starts with an elegant, sensual floral—lily of the valley—composed of real jasmine, real rose absolute, and synthetic green notes. The soft, fresh, ingénue scent is set against a deep earth-toned background: the wood and pepper of akigalawood, an extract of patchouli. The akiga wood adds a rich, brooding mystery to the subtle sparkle of the floral. The surprising combination feels natural and timeless—flower and earth—but the effect created by the multifaceted process is utterly contemporary.

Lily of the Valley, Akigalawood, Sandalwood

This 10 ml perfume comes in a transparent, long glass bottle with the brand logo printed in a beautiful turquoise font. The cap is golden in colour and looks chic. It’s a neat bottle and hence travel-friendly. It is always advisable to carry it in the cover it comes in else there are chances of breakage since it is made of glass. I love the colour combination, too. It is a mix of turquoise, white and golden. The packaging has a very spring feel to it.

My Experience with Miu Miu Eau de Parfum:

I like the rollerball concept for perfumes. Not only is it travel-friendly, it helps in quick touch-ups on the go as well. I have only seen rollerballs in under-arm deodorants, so was excited to use this one. It’s easy to apply and rolls on smoothly. The fragrance starts off with strong floral notes at the beginning, but then it settles down to warm and soothing musky notes. The fragrance lasts long, i.e. for up to 5-6 hours.

I would still prefer the parfum spray over this, only because I can spray it all over my body and clothes. This is restricted to pulse points only; though I can roll this on other areas as well, I wouldn’t. The best part about this is the quantity. Firstly, it comes in a 10 ml travel bottle, so there are chances of it getting over easily if this is the only perfume you are using. Secondly, this is like a tester for perfumes. Most of the times you end up buying a huge bottle and may struggle to finish it. Use this travel version, finish it and splurge on other perfumes in the market. Howzat!

Pros of Miu Miu Eau de Parfum:

• Easy to apply.
• Long lasting perfume.
• Starts with a strong fragrance, but settles down.
• Travel-friendly.
• Refreshing fragrance.
• You can finish this bottle easily (a pro for me).

Cons of Miu Miu Eau de Parfum:

• Non–availability in India.
• Some people may not like the musky notes.
• Roll-on perfume restricted to pulse points, unlike sprays.

IMBB Rating: 5/5
Will I Repurchase/Recommend Miu Miu Eau de Parfum?
Yes. Though I like to try new perfumes, I like the fact that this is a roll-on perfume. It helps with quick touch ups and can be carried during travels. I hope most of the perfumes come in a packaging like this.
