What are the basic eyeshadow shades that one should have to work with or mix n match these shades in Dark blue,Gold,Copper,Black and maybe silver. What colors can I mix and match. What are the shades to be used on brow bone, crease and as highlighter if I am using the above shades.I will be usin all of them only on occasions not for daily/office use.

do you have any eyeshadow that is very sheer, shimmery, whitish / goldenish that doesnt show too much colour when you apply it on your eyes?

Farha then keep a mix os shades with you.
Pick up a shade that is whitish or goldenish shimmery – for highlighting
Matte eyeshadows – for crease area. Although there si no hard and fast rule that only matte eyeshadows should go in crease but matte eyesahdows work better in giving more defined look.
And some satiny / pearl finish eye shadows for lids.
For beginners , I always suggest picking up palettes. They are no brainers and avoid extremely helpful. For very basic browns , blues you may pick up maybelline eye palettes. But personally I loved the Loreal eyeshadows quads. You have different textuers in the palette and they are very easy to use.

Any coordinating shade would do. For basics, let’s say if you are using light purple on lids, put a matte deep purple in crease. You can also layer it up. Let’s say you put light brown on lid, put a dark brown in crease and with a pencil brush, put a littl ebit of black to give more depth.

I really like their quads. They are priced at Rs 575 (used to be 499 3 months back when I bought mine) The quality and finish of the eyeshadows is really good! The singles are pretty amazing too but the quantity is tooo much and the cost is 490/-.

yes…they do have quads..i have one of them…. its called…wet/dry shadow……it ws a gift by my aunt frm US….i mean i dnt knw of their availibility in india though.. :(..but the shades are great…most of them cn be used as a highlighters….very wearable colors….its got a shimmery brown (brow bone)….a sky bluish one…similar to rati’s burjois wala …a baby pink …..wid shimmer ofcourse.. 🙂 :heart: :heart: :heart:

Any Mac cosmetics cheaper than the original price is fake. Mac cosmetics have the largest amount of fake products. Mac never even go on sale in the US :(.

usme naaa , they put your feet in a tub which has chotu chotu fish.. these kind of fish feed on dead skin and dirt so they nibble away your dead skin and dirt .. it is done for 20 mins and then the therapist/beautician will scrub away whatever is left and clean your feet , apply nail paint and its done .. :sweat: :sweat: :sweat:

Farha, buy quads or trios as they’ll be most useful and easiest to use. I checked out some Revlon quads today and I liked one is particular (Colorstay quad ‘chromatic’ something was the name, sorry I forgot!) . I guess you’d be using these for your BIL’s wedding so make sure you get a quad with golden,bronze shades as they will totally suit the occasion. Also, try out a Lakme ‘Desert Rose’ quad. It has a golden ,a pink, a copper and a rust shade. Since you are fair, these colors will really suit you.
